I've never heard anything about the supplemental draft prior to this. What is the draft order? Same as the draft in April? Are there actually other desirable players, or is Pryor the only one?

Where do people think Pryor would go if he was eligable for the actual draft?

Wiki says:

Draft order is determined by a weighted system that is divided into three groupings. First come the teams that had six or fewer wins last season, followed by non-playoff teams that had more than six wins, followed by the 12 playoff teams. In the supplemental draft, a team is not required to use any picks. Instead, if a team wants a player in the supplemental draft, they submit a "bid" to the Commissioner with the round they would pick that player. If no other team places a bid on that player at an earlier spot, the team is awarded the player and has to give up an equivalent pick in the following year's draft.[3] (For example, FS Paul Oliver was taken by the San Diego Chargers in the fourth round of the Supplemental Draft in 2007; thus, in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Chargers forfeited a fourth-round pick.)

The other players in the draft are:

Western Carolina defensive back Torez Jones

Georgia running back Caleb King

Lindenwood defensive end Keenan Mace

North Carolina defensive end Mike McAdoo

Northern Illinois defensive back Tracy Wilson

Interesting...so you could have the top pick, but not want to give up your 1st next year so you offer a later round pick. I'd imagine the highest round a team would offer for Pryor would be a 4th or 5th.

You've never heard of the supplemental draft or you haven't heard any talk about this year's supplemental draft?

The NFL supplemental draft. I might have heard of it in passing, but this is the first time someone I've heard of has been eligable.

You must be young. There's been a handful of pretty big name players that went through it. I think the 80's and 90's saw some shenanigans with guys trying to avoid going to losing franchises ending up there. But it's been pretty barren for a decade or two. The Bears drafted somebody there recently.

In 34 years of supplemental drafts, only 40 players have been taken. Cris Carter and Bernie Kosar are pretty much the big names to come out of it.

Bears got Harvey Unga in last years draft as a 7th rounder.

They may have been the best players, but I think Brian Bosworth was the biggest name to go through it.

Ok, fair enough. I should have said biggest success stories.

NFL Sunday Ticket will be available this year through PlayStation 3 for for $339.95.

I was excited when I first heard that, but that's about the same price I would spend if I went to the bar every sunday to watch the games.

Yep, Sunday Tickets does nothing for me. Obviously it's different in that if I wanted to I could watch my home team for free in my own home, but even if I wasn't, I think I'd much prefer going out rather than feeling the obligation to watch games at home since I've already paid for it. And I certainly wouldn't want to have to host my [expletive] friends every Sunday just so I could watch the game with other people.

I started getting it when it was pretty cheap, like $120, and I had some roommates. We've hosted most weeks ever since and it's a blast.

Is that the same price as it is for Direct TV subscribers? As a PS3 owner I would be very interested if it was about $100 less ($210-230), but I don't think it's worth it for that much for the reasons those have mentioned amongst others.

It's about $5 more than Direct TV subscribers.

I forgot about Bosworth and Carter; Kosar is who I remember. He didn't want to be drafted by the team who had the top pick in the regular draft, and he was going to be eligible to graduate despite having one year of eligibility remaining. So he didn't declare early, then when he graduated applied for the supplemental draft.
