well, thats that folks. Vikings win.

Even though he's going to be great and lead the Vikings to an impressive win, I'd sure like to see the Bears smoke that ass-hat.

All this leads me to believe that Brett Favre won't actually retire this year. I just cannot envision a scenario where Favre voluntarily stops playing football. He just won't die.

I wonder how many family members Webb flew in to watch him start?

Who cares? It's Brett Favre all the time whenever he wants. Ed Werder said it was Favre that pushed for this to happen. I'm sure the Vikings would have liked to know there was a possibility that he could play a couple of days ago.

He'll strategically "wait" to announce whether or he's coming back after training camp, why doesn’t the POS just say he's going to play but will not go through training camp?

is either team really going to throw the ball 36 times in this [expletive]?

Patriots passed 40 times against us last week. Bears only managed 26, but still

But Brady's short passes are equivalent to their run game so I think it's an apples to oranges comparison.

Edit: Sorry I jumped the gun from an old link on twitter from 3 days ago posted as breaking news.

I did see this though:

@jclong: Just walked along with Joe Webb to locker room. Two players were firing him up asking "you excited?"... for what that's worth

Vikings quarterback Brett Favre was seen warming up in the snow prior to Monday night's game, and told ESPN's Ed Werder that his shoulder "wasn't too bad." Favre is considering receiving a pain-killing injection and starting tonight's game, though he mentioned that he would discuss it with coaches and trainers first. Rooke Joe Webb will play if Favre can't, but the more this story unfolds, the more it sounds like Favre will at least attempt to start a new, short-lived streak.

those were the players that no one talks to and are completely out of the loop.

I think Urlacher ends Favre's career tonight.

It'll probably be Peppers but I'm hoping Urlacher gets the honor.

No Peterson tonight, per ESPN.

Another huge break.

If you guys lose this game you should be banned from the playoffs.

Favre officially starting and Peterson is out.
