Oh, you better believe it'd be storybook. A fan base that completely turned on a guy is now forced to root for him one last time. And if the Vikings win, almost every Packer fan will probably forgive Favre right then and there tonight.

It wouldn't really be storybook as far as what the Vikings are going for, but it would be for Favre. And if people know anything about the guy, it's that everything is about him.

Who freaking cares what Packers fans are thinking? It's a Vikings game in Minnesota, the storybook atmosphere just isn't there.

what? a crappy year for a team with high hopes being led by a broken QB who happens to be a legend, returning to their roots of out-door football, in an extreme local climate, to beat out the recent division favorites?

might not be storybook to Bear fans, but just about everyone in MPLS is up for this one. thats why I want to see it, and then beat them and crush their souls

If Favre comes back to play tonight it is helpful to no one except the Packers. The only thing the Vikings are playing for at this point, is a draft pick. The Vikes know Favre isn't the future, and most of the fans were looking forward to seeing Webb in action.

If the Vikings are playing for a draft pick, then maybe it is a helpful for them to start an old beatup geezer in single digit windchills on a field of concrete.

no way.

fans in the TC's have been pining for an outdoors NFL game for forever, and this is a chance to knock back a team they don't like (the Bears).

they'll be up for it, and they'd love to see Favre do it.

And if true, that's the biggest joke of all. Everything is forgiven after a win that doesn't even guarantee the Packers the division? Give me a [expletive] break.

HURRAH FAVRE! Thank you for keeping us alive for the division for 6 more days until we lose to the Giants!

Wouldn't shock me. Not with that bumbling moron of a head coach we have.

And ultimately, what did Favre end up doing with the Vikings? If they made it to the Super Bowl or won the damn thing a year ago, I'd probably dislike the guy forever. He choked in the NFC championship game, which was totally worth it. And then this year has been pretty awesome to watch too. If he ends up beating the Bears to ensure a chance at the division championship, I'd let "bygones be bygones" and probably forgive the guy with no real harm done to the Packers. I don't see the problem there.

But if he loses it's back to hating him, as if he purposely threw the game? C'mon, the whole idea is ridiculous. Whether or not you "forgive" a player shouldn't hinge on one game where a win still doesn't gaurantee you anything.

which we will loose because Lovie has gone soft and is unable to recover the team

ahhhh i can't stand how you keep mispelling "lose". Sorry.

Period goes inside the quotations.

i think that's a very gray rule

I misread that post at first.

I honestly can't tell if you are a Bears or vikings fan the way you are simultaneously defending minneapolis and speaking from the mind of a Vikings fan, and rooting for the Bears.

Man, it's really starting to snow here in Madtown.

I can only imagine it's snowing harder in Minny.

Damn, this game is starting to have that armageddon feel to it. It's coming! Showdown in the snow! All of Viking-dom and Packer-dom united against us!! Favre dragging himself from the grave to fight us!

I grew up in Illinois, born and raised a Bears fan. but, I spent 12 years in Minneapolis, my best friends in the world are all Viking fans, so I understand how they feel. I also get the chance to see a game on television at my alma mater's stadium that I haven't had the chance to see since I moved to the Pacific Northwest the day it opened.

I'm not pro-Vikings, but I am pro-Minneapolis/St Paul and pro U of MN.

And lastly, I want to CRUSH THE VIKINGS BADLY and send them to Las Vegas.

Look at the guy missing the Bears game to go watch Les Miserables questioning the loyalty of someone else.

like you've never been whiped by a girl before. If you saw me throw on my ipod and blast music in my ears during intermission so that I wouldnt overhear others talking about the game, or watched me drive a route home that I knew didn't pass by any bars where I might oversee or hear reaction from the game, all so I could stay up until 1AM and get 5 hours of sleep in order to watch the game in its entirety, you wouldnt question my fandom!

Watching the blizzard in Minnesota on ESPN right now. There is going to be a few inches of snow on the ground, just like last week. I don't like the looks of this one at all. The wind might not be as bad though.

I've never been whipped by a girl, not really my thing. it doesn't make me question your fandom, but it does make me question your sexuality.

keep you distance, please.
