I'm just annoyed by the SEC Superhonks that pretend Vanderbilt would be a 10-win team if they played in any other conference.

 

SEC fans do not say that. Vandy fans might, and I agree, so long as the "other conference" is the SoCon. Vandy is not a 10-win team in any BCS conference, and no sane person thinks otherwise. Vandy's not a 10-win school in CUSA, the MAC, or any other division one conference, for that matter.

According to a book published by New York Times reporter Michael Freeman, Tirico was accused in several instances of sexual harassment himself.

 

Mike Tirico’s scandal started in 1992 when he was working for ESPN. One of the women that accused him of sexual harassment said that he would not leave her alone at a party. According to Freeman’s book, the woman was approached by Tirico who told her, “You are the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen.”

 

When the woman ignored Tirico and even told him to “leave her alone,” Tirico persisted. He allegedly proceeded to try and reach his hand between her thighs.

 

This is just one of the instances where Tirico was accused of harassment. There are also more. He claims that they were all merely misunderstandings.

Vandy would definitely have a shot at getting to 10 wins in the MAC.

 

It depends on the Vandy team probably. The Cutler/Bennett Vandy teams might have had a chance to go undefeated in the MAC (as it is today) or Sun Belt. Last year's Vandy team probably doesn't win 5 MAC or Sun Belt games. The problem with getting to 10 wins, though, is they still have to play non-con games.

 

There's no BCS conference Vandy could have won 10 games in. Maybe, just maybe the Cutler/Bennett Commodores could have won more conference games than they lost in this year's Big East.

Only one of their losses was by less than two scores (Northwestern), though the Tennessee game was within a score most of the time. Fox got its second championship game, the Pac-10 championship game, for 2011 at a cost of $14.5 million. There's another $10.5 million in the deal for other games as a result of the expansion from 10 to 12 teams.

 

This means that ESPN will have just the ACC championship game.

Vandy would definitely have a shot at getting to 10 wins in the MAC.

 

I don't know about that. Vandy in the Sun Belt or Mac is just another mostly white academic school who plays against so/so competition every weekend. You don't have the selling point of "every year you will play Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and sometimes Alabama and LSU." I think that the conference actually does help, in terms of recruiting. I think it would hurt them enough that they're not a 10-ein team in those conferences either.

That's not really the argument. It's like saying Auburn wouldn't be a title contender if they were in the Sun Belt because nobody cares about the Sun Belt, and they wouldn't have the kind of money to have modern facilities and whatever it is that draws players other than Cam Newton there.
