From what I hear the faithful are salivating over the prospect of Harbaugh.

 

He fits their identity much better. I know a few alums and they tell me RRod was a mistake.

It's easy to talk about a guy fitting your identity and all that stuff before you actually have to step on the field.

 

When Michigan can't move the football next year because they're totally ill suited for the offense Harbaugh runs the mob will be angry again.

That's a pretty big assumption. Harbaugh did a fantastic job with a downtrodden school in the PAC 10. There's no reason to assume he would fail back at his Alma mater.

I don't think he'd fail, given time. He's a damn good coach.

 

I'm just saying the transition from RRod to Harbaugh is as dramatic as the change from Carr to RRod was in the first place. And obviously those transitional pains is why RRod's is on the hot seat. Going from the scheme and personnel Rodriguez runs to what Harbaugh wants is a big difference and it probably wouldn't be pretty in the beginning.

The USC special, after the Leinart years at least. Really talented team but lose two or three games anyway.
