He's fine. He landed mostly on his chest. Probably tweaked the wrist and got the wind knocked outnof him.

yea at first i assumed it was just the wind knockd out of him but when i saw walk off holding his wrist all i oculd think was "40-42"

I haven't watched the game or seen the replays but if I lose Aaron Rodgers, the entire Iowa football team and Derrick Rose in back to back days I'm going to be pissed.

rose came back in and played the rest of the game so i'm assuming he's fine. they'd know if it was broken and he wouldn't have come back in (when d lee broke his wrist they knew on the field it was broken)

Honest question for those with a non-Bulls slant: when you watch Rose play, does he really avoid contact like no other player in the NBA, or is he just not getting superstar foul calls?
Posted
He is really good at avoiding contact because he just blows by everyone lol. But it does seem like when he does get contact he doesn't get as many calls as he should. So probably more of the not getting calls.

he admitted recently that part of it is his own fault. he talked about how growing up playing "in the park" he'd do everything he could to avoid contact because there were no fouls there, so he's trying to adjust. hopefully he doesn't get too extreme, because i don't want to see another scene like tonight. that was terrifying. i thought he was done for the season

This has probably been said but..

I was watching a video about the dribble drive offense the other day by John Calipari and Calipari mentioned that Rose could go coast to coast in 2 dribbles. That just seems insane to me.

X-rays were negative. He has a strained wrist and will be evaluated tomorrow to see how it's looking. McGraw mentioned that Rose was having trouble dressing himself after the game because of all the pain (to be expected). Last year he had a similar injury when he ran into Howard and was out a little more than a week.

yea i think he might miss a few games, but that seems like nothing compared to what it could have been. i was having d-lee flashbacks

i'm concerned about his stroke now though. he was on fire from 3 and was getting more and more consistent. now he injures his shooting hand? grreeeaaattttt

I'm getting really really sick of opposing players attacking Derrick Rose, inadvertent or not.

eh, it was Rose jumping through 2 players when the game was almost already decided. I more wish that he didn't feel the need to do that.

but its part of what makes him special that makes him vulnerable to these types of things. [expletive].

ssr why do you watch so many bulls games?

They're a fun talented team.

so what is your revised prediction for their final record this season?

~50 wins, 4th in East

Trying to draw a charge is attacking him?

I was concerned both times Rose went down that the replay would show that one of the Pacers had inadvertently hit him or something. Even if it had been an accident and not a hard foul, I still would have felt like they caused it. But thankfully the replays showed none of that.

I was surprised the Pacers stayed in as long as they did last night when none of their scorers could get it anywhere close to the basket. The Pacers defense mostly showed up again (I never thought I'd be typing that) but it just wasn't enough. The Bulls were pretty impressive and the sky's the limit if they can find another perimeter scorer.
