I'm getting really really sick of opposing players attacking Derrick Rose, inadvertent or not.

What are you talking about? Have you seen a basketball game before? Rush just tried to draw a charge. That's an attack?

Since I'm in the Bulls thread, I have to say they were impressive. They should win the division easy, and, with a better shooting guard/perimeter scorer, could be a threat to the top three East teams.

How do you inadvertently attack someone?

I am going to swing my arms in circles and if you get in the way it's not my fault.

In sports it's very easy to inadvertantly attack somebody. It's called being reckless. Hockey sticks and knees do this a lot. Inadvertant but sloppy and dangerous fouls happen in basketball as well.

President Barack Obama hyped the Bulls while trying to trash-talk the Lakers during their community service appearance in Washington on Monday, but Kobe Bryant -- a five-time NBA champion -- wasn't about to back down.

In referencing the Bulls' 88-84 win over the Lakers last Friday, Obama said, "My Bulls are showing some signs of life," and told Bryant that "Derrick Rose may have your number."

"I said, 'If he calls that number, I'll be sure to pick up after the fifth ring,'" Bryant replied.

That's a great comeback.

Stole this from coldfish at RealGM

Out of Chicago's 59 remaining games, only 19 teams currently have a winning record. 10 of those games are in Chicago. Doing a quick schedule analysis, the Bulls will likely be betting favorites in 44 games out of the 59. If they win and lose every game they are supposed to, they would finish roughly 59-23.

I knew that the rest of our schedule set up well for us to rack up the wins, but seeing it tallied up like this is pretty sweet.

Yeah, here is the remaining road schedule against winning teams:

Utah

New Orleans

Miami

Orlando x2

Atlanta x2

New York x2

Yeah I was looking at ESPN's "Projected playoff standings" page the other day and saw the number of games left vs. .500 teams. The Bulls have 19 left, and the next least amount for a team is 22. But most teams have between 25-27 left. The Lakers have 29 left lol.

It is. I wonder who wrote it for him.

CHICAGO -- Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose has a sprained right wrist and a bruised right elbow, but coach Tom Thibodeau expects him to play against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.

"He had some soreness, but he appears to be fine," Thibodeau said on Tuesday. "If he says he can play, he'll play."

Rose hurt his wrist and elbow at the end of Monday night's game against the Indiana Pacers at the United Center. X-rays on the wrist after the game were negative.

"If it's up to me, I'm playing [on Wednesday]," said Rose, who wore a black brace on his right arm at practice on Tuesday. "Knowing that it's only sore, and usually I can play through soreness.

"[The wrist] is not that bad. The wrist really is not that bad. If anything, my elbow hurts more than my wrist. Right now I'm a little beat up, but I think I should be able to play through it."

Yeah, it's just the Raptors.

And this year has pretty clearly proven that it runs just as well with CJ Watson starting

Well, they did almost beat the Nuggets...

...but if I had to choose between, say, a 50% Rose for 10 games, or have him sit 2 out and be 90-100% for the rest, I'd rather he just sit a couple out.

It was a clear moral victory, which brought the season total to 5 in the early going.

It also made me far angrier than I would've been had they just gotten blown out without Rose.

From that article:

But if Rose’s usage rate and free-throw numbers stay at their current rates, he’d become only the sixth player in three decades (since the introduction of the three-point line) to post a usage rate greater than 30 percent while attempting fewer than five foul shots per 36 minutes, according to Basketball-Reference.* The others: Ben Gordon, Chris Webber, Vince Carter, Baron Davis and journeyman Freeman Williams, who did it while playing for the Clippers in 1979-80.

I remember people bitching about Ben Gordon not getting calls back in the day too.

I'd rather he take a couple games off and get a week long rest.

I hope he plays Saturday for selfish reasons. I don't want to go to a game where CJ Watson's going to be getting close to 40 minutes of burn.
