You forgot Cincinnati at Carolina at 1:00.

I don't blame him - that's a pretty forgettable game for everyone except fans of both teams.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Clausen can do with this team, though. I'm hoping he can move our offense up a level from 'morbidly depressing'.

Wasn't very impressed with the Raiders last weekend so it would be nice if they could win on the road in Arizona. I might start to believe they can have a halfway decent season if they do that.

Haven't started 2-1 since the 2004 season, though they still went 5-11 that year, so that would be nice to see.

No one cares but my fantasy team is pleased at this decision and welcomes the two headed Brees/Vick combo.

Didn't the Eagles cut ties with a 30 year old McNabb so that they can get younger before it's a year too late with McNabb. Well now you have a 31 year old as your starter. I'm guessing the Eagles plan is to stick with Vick and hope he keeps playing this well all season and then trade him in the offseason and give Kolb another shot.

I actually have Brees, Vick, and Orton on one of my teams (replace Brees with Rivers on my other team). I anticipate trading one of them at some point now that Vick as starter seems permanent.

McNabb is turning 34 in November, plus Vick had a couple years off. This is absolutely the right decision. You have a lot of good pieces around Vick and that offense will be so explosive with him at quarterback. Vick can play at least 3-4 more years at a decently high level.

Whoops on him actually being 34. I'm not against the decision at all. Like I said, best case scenario, Vick plays awesome all year and the Eagles have to trade him or Kolb in the offseason. It will be interesting if there is still a stigma for acquiring Vick around the league if he has a great year and is on the block. They might be forced to give up on Kolb. I could see Kolb being a team player about it this year, but no way he shuts about about this next year too. The man was told repeatedly that he was their QB for the next 10 years.

Isn't Vick's contract up after this year? I thought he originally signed a one year deal with a team option for this year. If so, they wouldn't be able to trade him in the offseason (unless I have no idea what I'm talking about).

You're right but I would think unless Vick has no interest in resigning, the Eagles would try to extend him midseason even if they plan on trading him in the offseason.

I could see that. Re-signing Vick midseason would probably further piss off Kolb, though. He's probably not thrilled that one bad half – and a good to very good game and a half from Vick – got him benched and re-signing Vick would send the message that Kolb won't be the starter for at least a couple of years.

By the way, what's with the Eagles and quarterbacks? They were never truly happy with McNabb, thought they had the starter of the future in Kolb and now are starting Vick. Why can't they settle on a good QB and be happy? Is it just that it's Philadelphia?
