The Bears have to start tackling better. This has been a problem for a few years.

So then if the Bears lose a game due primarily to yardage given up due to missed tackles, do Bears fans then forfeit the right to complain about it because "this is how your team has been losing for years?"

(that isn't directed at you, Wilson, but I think it's a fair question.)

Partially? Really? 17 penalties for however many yards it was only "partially" helped you?

Penalties aren't part of the game? Give me a break. The better team won tonight. The Packers obviously lack discipline.

I won't disagree about the discipline part. However, on pure football talent alone, the Packers are the better team. The fact that they're a bunch of damn morons prone to [expletive] penalties decided the game tonight. Not the talent posessed by the players on the field. Talent was a factor, but the penalties were the deciding factor.

A team stupid enough to commit 17 penalties deserves to lose. And they deserve to walk back to Green Bay.

You can have your "better team" and we will deal with being above you in the standings. Deal? :hello: :stickman:

Seriously, all this talk about the penalties greatly helping the Bears, but yet the Packers fans ignore the BS roughing the passer call on Melton that led to the Pack scoring a TD. Comical

I have no idea how, but the Bears are the only undefeated team in the NFC.

Dude come on, you may have gotten a ton of yards on offense but your team basically self destructed like it has for the last 2 years. The Bears defense is designed to bend but not break so getting large chunks of yards is part of it. But despite getting these long drive, when the field shortens the Bears D managed to hold them to FGs a couple of times, yes aided partially by penalties, but the Bears have been playing defense like this for years and it's worked out well. The more plays run the more chance of a turnover or a stop.

I can't believe you actually come out of this game cocky when you are seeing the Packers lose by the same means that they have for 2 years. How can you feel confident when your team is liable to self destruct at any moment? It doesn't make any sense. Stop being bitter, man up, and respect the team that just beat you at least for one night.

The turning point of the game was when Urlacher stripped the ball and the ball inexplicably didn't go out of bounds. It's something the Bears do well and they got it at a critical point of the game. It wasn't until that play that I thought the Packers were more in danger of losing than winning. But it's something I can live with and, while certainly frustrating that the Packers lost, it doesn't significantly diminish my outlook on the rest of the season. I still think the Packers are the class of the NFC North. So yeah, props to the Bears, they won fair and square tonight. But the season is a marathon, not a sprint.

A big reason why the Bears were even in a position to win the game there is because the Packers consistently shot themselves in the foot with mistakes and dumb penalties. How many games are the Packers going to allow a team to stay close to them when they should be blowing them out before you admit that its killing the Packers chances of being a SB contender? No doubt the Packers are very talented, and they would probably have to still be my favorite for the division at this point, but you should feel down about your teams chances to win in the playoffs with such an undisciplined team.

YES! Thank you!

Dude what the hell are you talking about? You came on here minutes after your team lost bitching to a group of Bears fans about how the Packers gave the game to the Bears in the most bitter sounding way possible. No one said you couldn't complain about it. You've been doing this stuff for years, why stop complaining now?

I would complain. But I would not say my team is better. Missing tackles is part of the game. Taking penalties is too. Better football teams take fewer penalties. Look at the penalties Peppers made the RT commit. That wasn't just being jumpy for jumpies sake, but it was directly due to a better player and wanting to get off the line quick. It wasn't totally self-inflicted. If you don't hold Peppers, Rodgers is sacked a few times. And if he did I think your outlook would be a little different.

I don't understand why you are so proud of that. You don't seem to realize that the Bears didn't play their best game either.

This is the first game this year the Packers shot themselves in the foot with penalties. They only had 2 penalties against the Eagles and had 6 penalties against the Bills, but that was a blowout anyways. Like I said before, today the penalties are disappointing and a few of them downright moronic but one game doesn't make a pattern.

if it wouldn't get me banned I'd post a picture of a middle finger in response

I don't suggest you do that until your Packers are in first place.

*eats popcorn*

I'm loving the cryfest after the suckfest, maybe your emorage should be directed at your head coach for having a undisciplined football team.

Ok can we or cant we look into previous seasons to see a pattern? Regarding Cutler you bring up his previous seasons, but when talking about the Packers penalties you dismiss it as a non pattern although they have shown the pattern under McCarthy for the previous seasons....So which is allowed and which is not?
