I see erik is on fire tonight.

Yeah, ok whatever. Come to Green Bay.

Good comeback.. Do the Bears have "no chance" in Green Bay also?

Yes.

You are right because the Bears will be playing their backups getting ready for the playoffs.....Ohhhh yup I went there.

Really need to work on the checkdowns for next week. And design more pass plays for Forte. Cutler did not have a good game.

Agreed. I completely forgot about Forte until he made that catch on the last drive. And that is completely different than the Forte we've seen in the first 2 weeks who was an essential part of the game plan.

Yes but considering how much pressure he was under all game, I really doubt he can do much better.

I'm perfectly calm. I'm not the one trying to make it personal, like a certain mod I happen to be responding to right now.

That's twice tonight. Continue to set a great example, o dear leader.

Leader?

Damnit, I want to be the only douchebag mod no one likes.

that's fred, duh

Yes but the Bears did have a good rushing average, although they had very few yards.

That's fine. We'll have the starters in for a quarter or two. Don't want them to get rusty during that first-round bye week.

fyi: you lost tonight, so the trash talk comes across as hilariously hollow

So are we going to just completely give up on running the ball this year? In years past, I would have said that we're never going to get anywhere if we can't establish the run and that even if we were winning without it eventually there would be a game where it burns us. But I'm starting to think that we can get away with not having much of a game. Cutler is so dynamic that he can still be successful even with defenses heavily defending against the pass.

It's the Martz offense. Screen passes basically are the running game. The line is so terrible it's not worth running inside the tackles.

The Bears have given up TDs in the first quarter while they have mostly managed FGs. When you get down, you tend to throw more. But the NFL is a passing league and Martz is a passing OC. What can you really expect?

It depends on where both teams are at during that point of the season. I HIGHLY suspect the Packers will be in the driver's seat. Look at this game and tell me the Packers aren't the better team and Aaron Rodgers isn't twice the QB that Jay Cutler is. Fine, Packers lost so congrats to all the Bears fans. I liken it to a baseball team that gets 10 hits and loses 2-1 due to two solo homers. See you in January.

This game was very interesting. I wouldn't say that this was a great game in terms of it being well played. It was good in terms of it being close and going back and forth though. Both teams clearly didn't play their best game, and I still don't know just how good this team can be (but it's looking a lot better after beating Dallas and GB in back to back weeks).

I'm just so psyched we won this one. I was strangely confident all day, and then once the game started and the Packers scored, I didn't feel great about our chances until that Packers fumble at the end.

Bears fans would murder nuns to have Aaron Rodgers. They just won't admit it.

if by nuns you meant obnoxious moronic packer fans, then you're right.

WAIT THERE IS NO WAY ANYONE SHOULD EXPECT THE BEARS TO WIN THIS GAME.

Any Green Bay fans crying about this loss are just :^o

Rodgers isn't twice the QB Cutler is. If Cutler had the line and the receivers Rodgers has, he would be about as good.

I guess every one of his 26 INT's last season was his receivers fault, right?

huh?

In case you both just missed it, the packers cant seem to keep from trying to rape the opposing team. thats not a good team.

Dude come on, you may have gotten a ton of yards on offense but your team basically self destructed like it has for the last 2 years. The Bears defense is designed to bend but not break so getting large chunks of yards is part of it. But despite getting these long drive, when the field shortens the Bears D managed to hold them to FGs a couple of times, yes aided partially by penalties, but the Bears have been playing defense like this for years and it's worked out well. The more plays run the more chance of a turnover or a stop.

I can't believe you actually come out of this game cocky when you are seeing the Packers lose by the same means that they have for 2 years. How can you feel confident when your team is liable to self destruct at any moment? It doesn't make any sense. Stop being bitter, man up, and respect the team that just beat you at least for one night.

Bears could very easily be 7-0 at the bye. That pretty much guarantees a playoff spot unless you are the Kyle Orton led Broncos.

They could also easily be 0-3 right now. I'm glad we're undefeated but this is still a flawed team. However, finding ways to win games is a large part of being a good team and so far we've been able to do that.

I understand Packers fans' frusteration but pretty much all the penalties called were legit. Also, we played better in the season opener at Soldier last year and lost. It happens.

3-0......................2-1 1 of those teams are led by Jay Cutler the other is led by Aaron Rodgers.....

I'll admit Rodgers is a little better. As a Bear fan I'd take him over Cutler. Both have great arms and maneuverability. Rodgers seems to be a little bit better of a leader and makes safer decisions. But Cutler takes risks and will go after the big play. I think both guys have the ability to win the Super Bowl which is all that matter.

It is certainly quite odd that the Packers fans were really silent all game in this thread and they finally make themselves known after they lose. You Packers fans are a strange bunch.
