I'm not a fan of these huge ratings especially because this game topped another Bear game from last year. ESPN and NBC see these numbers are going to want the Bears in primetime but I prefer the Sunday afternoon games by a wide margin.

Why doesn't ESPN put the games on ABC and get even more viewers?

Are there really people out there that would tune into the game on ABC, but can't because it's on ESPN? How many? 2? 3?

So you didn't see the game at all? You didn't go to a friend or family member's house or a bar. You watched something else at home that night because you don't have ESPN.

There are still those stubborn people who won't pay for cable.

They're fewer than ever, but still exist.

I don't think ABC is going to throw MNF back on the big channel just for them though. Like has been said, they've got other options that work off a different demographic.

Not everyone cares about sports like we do.

You're saying that these people who don't care about sports like we do would actually tune into MNF if it was on their ABC channel?

If he was in the Chicago market he could see it over the air. I assume GB had the same thing. When a NY team plays on ESPN it's shown on the WB channel 9 around here.

Yeah it was on WCIU-26. It pulled in a huge rating on there too.

I heard that the Packers lost this past Monday to the Chicago Bears? Is this true? If so, does this mean that the Bears are the superior team? Please let me know as I am anxiously awaiting responses.

PS. Since this is clearly the biggest game of the year for the Bears (right?), is it appropriate to celebrate like they just won the Super Bowl? Because it's pretty clear that this one football game now and forever clearly determines the superior football franchise.

It's cute how people take things completely out of context and try to pick fights over the internet. THAT'S why this thread should be perma-stickied. How much better can it get?

LOL THERE WAS A TYPO ZOMG! I MUST POINT IT OUT TO THE ENTIRE INTERNET!

Like I said... trying to pick fights on the internet. You guys are awesome. Always good for some free entertainment. I think the saying goes "Fighting on the internet is like the Special Olympics: Even if you win, you're still [expletive]."

This thread has the distinction of being the only NSBB thread I've ever bookmarked. It's just been that much darn fun! Don't stop now!
