That's one thing I should've mentioned after the Oilers game. This team is just boring. They don't dominate the puck like they used to and it's almost like they play Eastern Conference style hockey. I know I've been ripping on the defensemen for their horrible play and bad turnovers, but the forwards deserve a lot of blame too for not controlling the puck as much as they did in the past couple of seasons.

 

Hey, Keith was -4 and Sharp was a -5 last night. Anytime Keith wants to wake up and remember he's good at hockey (as well as Toews, Kane, Seabrook, and Hammer) would be just cool with me.

Keith has been a huge disappointment early.

 

This team obviously doesn't have the depth of last year's team where they could win often without the "stars" stepping up and playing at a top level.

 

I don't buy all this not making the playoffs business yet though. We're talking about, what, 15 games played?

Its a bitch to lose a lot of depth to the salary cap and then have some key injuries. The Hawks will be fine and will probably be better for it in the long run.

There's only so much you can blame on injuries. I don't see the level of play that I am accustomed to from our healthy guys either. I know its easy to say teams have tons of heart when they are winning and no heart when they are losing, but sometimes it looks like they are just going through the motions. No positive or negative emotion shown out there. Even Q doesn't seem to upset in his PCs

ATLANTA--The Blackhawks have recalled 19-year-old forward Jeremy Morin from Rockford of the American Hockey League.

 

With center Dave Bolland and winger Marian Hossa injured, Morin is expected to be in the lineup Saturday night when the Hawks take on the Thrashers in Atlanta.

 

Morin, who was one of the Hawks' last roster cuts prior to the opening of the 2010-11 regular season, has three goals--all on the power play--and an assist in eight games with the IceHogs.

Excited to see Morin play. Skated with Sharp and Brouwer in practice today.

 

 

 

I'm still not too worried about this team. It seems like the things we were worried about at the beginning of the season have worked out okay. The fills ins have been more than serviceable for the players we've lost. What's been killing us is Kane's indifference, Keith's decision making, Toews on pace for like 10 goals, Sharp's terrible defense etc. That's not going to continue all year. We will be fine.
