50/50 right now, i guess. that may be on the high side, but im trying to stay positive

but I don't see him being overmatched all of the time. Rashard Lewis is a 4. Channing Frye is a 5. Josh Smith is a 4. It's not ideal but it can be done.

 

Those guys would make minced meat of Dent at PW.

I can fathom star players taking up to maybe a million less to play with another set of superstars. At some point you're going to incur the wrath of the players union though.

 

I can fathom a veteran taking less money to play with superstars, I have a hard time seeing a guy in the prime of his career at the top of his game taking less than what he's worth.

I'd love to see Bosh signed somehow BEFORE the Bulls meeting with Lebron. At least somehow get a commitment from Bosh that IF Lebron comes to Chicago, then he'll definitely be there as well.

 

 

On a side note, if Lebron does stay in Cleveland, even though Wade certainly appears to be staying in Miami, you have to wonder if he'd re-think things. Wade/Rose/Deng/Bosh/Noah would be worlds better than what the Heat could possibly come up with at this point, assuming Rose and Wade could co-exist in the backcourt.

The Bulls would only clear about $1 Million off the cap by dealing Taj Gibson. Unless they can get someone to take Deng, I don't see how the Bulls could sign & trade for Bosh and still have money left over for LeBron. Am I missing something here?

I don't see anything wrong with that deal. I think standing alone, it's a fine deal for a 27-year old 7-footer that can shoot the 3 as well as anyone in the league. When comparing it to some of the other deals that have already happened. It may be the most sane deal of the offseason so far.

Lots of teams that have cap room and they aren't all gonna get lebron and bosh...so they'll have to spend it somewhere, and so other teams are overspending pre-emptively.
