Zimmerman is sitting again due to his hamstring. Adam Kennedy will start again at 3rd.

Oh jesus if we lose I'm gonna be ever so pissed because of things like this

I actually find it bittersweet when opposing players go down because that just means someone stupidly bad is going to beat us when we do lose (Jason Michaels, Geoff Blum, etc)

Oh well, channel the 2009 Cubs in only one facet, the 4 game sweep of the Nationals to open up the second half of the season last year. That was the only good moment of that year, lets relive it.

Mentioned this earlier, but I would have expected Lou to load up on lefties, considering Lannan's reverse-platoon splits: .257/.328/.384 vs. RHB (1451 PA), .291/.357/.501 vs. LHB (413 PA).

Oh well. I have no major issues with this lineup (although Fukudome's D would be nice to have in RF).

Silva has a higher OPS than Lee and Aram.

You actually think our manager would play lefties vs a lefty? Im shocked Colvin is in there actually, because its usually right handed hitters 1-8 vs Leftys, but Im guessing Lou is rewarding Colvin for his good day yesterday.

Just kinda eyeballing the immediate schedule here, obviously you never know what's going to happen later in the season, but if the Cubs are going to go on an extended winning streak or something like 15 of 20. This should be the start of the stretch coming off the sweep of the Brewers we have WAS @home for 3, AZ @home for 4, @PIT for 3, @CIN for 3, FLA @home for 3, and PIT @home for 3.

The Cubs always have problems with the D'backs and the Marlins though.

I don't know of any Carloses in the Cubs farm system, but there are enough pitching in the majors we could trade our non-Carlos pitchers to make an all-Carlos staff. Looks like the team would win about 40 games a year tho. Sabathia is not one, Pavano would have to change his name, and Villanueva and the rest would have to do better.

I suppose I should have said "hoped" rather than "expected".
