grabow [expletive] sucks too, but i guess those 1.4 WHIP relievers are too valuable to let go.

I wish Jim Hendry would pay me $3 million a year to be bad at baseball.

Someone suggest who should be out there in a situation where the Cubs go into the inning down 1 run in the 8th inning.

Anyone else. Samardzija is right now the worst pitcher in the pen.

Agreed. But obviously the Cubs aren't ready to accept their $10 million as a sunk cost just yet. If you spent $10 million on an unproven relief pitcher (lets not argue the merit of drafting/signing him in the first place), wouldn't you give him way more chances to prove himself than lets say Justin Berg?

This season is beyond [expletive] if we keep throwing these pieces of crap from the bullpen to blow games.

our bullpen blows, but on a day like today facing three pretty bad pitchers, 8 hits and 4 walks really isn't that good.

Yep. The offense should have torched Suppan today.

In other news, Grabow would prefer to give up a few more runs to make sure the offense can't come back.

If I gave him 10 million it would be because I thought he could start, thus I would have him at Iowa working on starting.

But how many chances are you going to give him to blow close ballgames? Either put him in mopup situations where the game has already been determined either way, or send him to Iowa and let him sort it out there.

I didn't say he should be released. He can prove himself in AAA.

If he's that much of an investment then he should be getting regular starts in the minors until he starts looking better.

I wish Shark would've chose to pursue Football instead of baseball out of college

Agreed but seriously stop using this joke. It is said two times every time he makes an appearance. Just stop. We get it and we all agree.
