Carpenter starting to fall apart.

No no no, that doesnt happen to Chris Carpenter. Hes a different breed of pitcher who after giving up a HR, tends to get even more fierce and competiive and shut the other teams down. Other pitchers fall apart, but not Chris [expletive] Carpenter, Hrabosky said so damnit.

New year and same old Aaron Harang.

Which I don't get how they can be anyone's dark horse. Aaron Harrang is their opening day starter.

They also have some lefty in AA who was mediocre in the Cuban league last year.

I fully expect Mike Leake to require labrum surgery by the end of the season.

Bah. Must be opening day. I thought that was gone when he hit it.

Not to get on a video game tangent, but I was playing the 2k10 demo this morning, and hit a fly ball...as soon as it was hit, I heard someone in the crowd yell "It's gone"....it was caught well short of the warning track.

So does anyone else have the MLB text updates? How often do they update the score for you? I just signed up so I could get updates while I'm not home today.

"If they had some lesser pitcher out there, they'd just say put him on, but hes(Carp) too good". Im so glad that Brenly and Kasper aren't homer douchebags like the Stl announcers. The arrogance just bleeds through the TV

Haha. You just reminded me of the best part about watching baseball with Andy. Anything and everything that is hit out of the infield in the air he thinks is a homerun and will oooo and ahhh only to have it be caught 50 feet before the warning track.

Being there live for most every (home) game the last couple years has really improved my ability to judge how well balls are hit. But yeah, I'm out of practice. I thought that was gone.

Garrett Jones again

Never really looked at his stats. But he looks primed to be a star. OPSed over .938 last year and hit 21 HR's in just 314 at-bats. Given a 550 at-bat season he would have hit .293 with .375 OBP, 37 HR's, 77 RBIs, 79 runs and 18 SB's.
