Do you or don't you have Dish? I'm confused.

I hate that they do the opening night thing but I still am excited about it because it is real baseball finally. I know that makes no sense but I miss the days when it was Opening DAY and not opening night for the first game.

I refused to watch one moment of any Sawks/Yankee game. For me, Opening Day is Monday.

Having the game start at 3:05 is such a tease. I'd honestly rather the game be at 1:05 PM, where I know I'd have no shot of catching any of the game, than 3:05 where I'm going to be frantically be trying to get all my work done and then every single obstacle that even momentarily delays my trip home is going to annoy the crap out of me, all so that I can get home and watch the last 1-2 innings of the game. Blah, maybe I'll just fake being sick and leave at 3 :)

To the bar, I guess.

I'm extremely displeased that I spent $130 to be able to watch every game this year, and I can't watch opening night.

mlb.tv will make you want to punch a wall many times this year. The worst are the regional blackouts, many of which make no damn sense whatsoever. For some reason I couldn't ever watch the Cubs when they were in St. Louis or Cincinnati even though I'm in freaking MISSISSIPPI.

Oh ya, and you can't watch any games on Saturday unless they start after 8pm or something stupid like that.

Also, I'm going to miss the majority of the Cubs opener because I have to go interview some guy at 4 o'clock. I'm [expletive] livid

I'm thinking short ass interview

Won't matter. Game starts at 3. I'll have to leave by 3:30 at the absolute latest to even get to this guy's place in time. Even if I squeeze everything into a half hour i'll be leaving at 4:30, getting home around 5. If I'm lucky I'll see the first inning and maybe the last 2 innings. I'd be cool with a 3 hour rain delay, though.

I have been unemployed for the past 3 weeks, which turned out to be pretty much the best timing possible- all of March Madness, Opening Day, and the first great weather of the year here have been my only obligations...of course if I'm still looking for something 3+ months from now I'm sure it won't be as fun, but for now I am greatly enjoying it (I'm 25 without a lot of bills/expenses so my situation is a bit different than most, for sure)
