Exactly. Shooting was horrible. They didn't D up with any urgency in the first half, and when they finally did in the second half, couldn't cash it in.

I was just thinking last night, I can't believe we may get to a FF/win a championship with Brady Morningstar and Reed as starters. They're good players, but when I think about our last championship, our 2 and 3 were Brandon Rush and Mario Chalmers. That's the kind of talent an elite team has on the perimeter.

 

Still, I can't hate on those guys. They made the most out of their abilities. Just coudln't put it together today.

Agreed. I have no dog in this fight -- and, honestly, was rooting for the upset because that's fun -- but I thought VCU was allowed to mug the Morris twins under the basket basically the entire game. Also, I'm not sure I've ever seen a travel not called when a player falls to the ground with the ball.

I still have the possibility for one Final Four team, as I picked Kentucky. If Kentucky wins, I'll win both pools I entered (both for money). I really, really, really hope I get zero Final Four teams and lose my pools.

not sure what you mean. Should be a bigger story. Everyone had ameltdown when they were even let in the tourney. ANd they played an extra game in the tourney. And they've beaten only major conference teams. And with the exception of FSU, they've kind of pounded them (I dont remember the score of the USC game.)

 

It's pretty crazy.

VCU's run in this tournament doesn't change the questionable decision to include them

It is neat how they have been beating one team from each power conference. Pac-10, Big East, Big Ten, ACC and now Big 12. All that is left for them to beat is the SEC and here UK is still playing...hmmm. :-k
