Uk ends up with the best player of '10 and '11 on the same day and IMO will end up with Lamb and Leslie as well as one more before the recruiting ends.

Snood, I can't see Selby going anywhere else than KU.

Harrison Barnes is the top player in '10

Now being told that Pullen is not hearing great feedback from scouts, who want to see him run the point for a year. He'll be coming back. KSU looking tough next year, probably a pre-season top 5 with:

PG: Pullen, Irving

SG: McGruder, Nick Russell, Spradling

SF: Samuels, Sutton, Southwell

PF: Kelly, Judge

C: Asprilla, Henriquez-Roberts

Oregon is apparently hard after Mike Anderson. It's Friday, I don't want to spend it being very angry, please turn down the school you beat by 40 this year.

Has Oregon contacted every D1 coach out there yet? What a botched job search so far (obviously they can still make up for it with a great hire). I thought for sure Oregon was Mark Few's dream job but I guess not.

UK, will Enes Kanter be cleared by the NCAA?

They can take Bruce Weber.

Is Russell no longer considered a viable PG?

Todd Lickliter is still available

I never saw UK as a real player for Selby. (more worried about UT) He never even visited the campus, despite having several opportunities. (Of course, who knows. It's Cal, so maybe he does end up there anyway.)

Lamb does sound UK bound. Not so sure about Leslie. he said he wants to visit UF before making a choice.

And IG is right. Rivals might have Knight as the #1 player (though there are rumors they'll put Selby there for the final rankings), but the best player in the class is Harrison Barnes. I've been pretty underwhelmed by Knight in the games I saw him play. Not that he isn't good. Just that he's a bit overhyped.

UNC Wilmington hires Buzz Peterson away from Appalachian State. That should give them good practice for the next coaching search in a year or two. 6 job changes for Peterson in the last 10 years (twice from Appalachian State).

I loved Klee and Tate telling illini fans to be careful what they wish for because Weber has been contacted about job openings. Lol, go ahead Bruce take one.

Hypothetically speaking I don't know which is worst. 5 more years of Bruce Weber, or allowing Ron Guenther another opportunity to hire a coach.

Loren Tate is a senile moran, DIA apologist. /end rant

I'm thinking we are better off keeping Weber until Guenther is gone, since he has righted the ship with recruiting. Although I am really hoping he wraps up some of the '11 guys soon.

Frank made a quote after the year, something along the lines of "Russell will be a great 2 for us in the future". Apparently they don't like him as a one and are trying to use their last scholly this year to bring in a Juco PG with 3 to play.

Mike Anderson is apparently (not confirmed) supposed to announce his decision tomorrow at the team banquet. Now, I find it strange he needs to have an announcement if he's staying, but it'd be a dick (Brian Kelly) move to announce it at the banquet. I'm nervous.

selby with that glazed look in his eye as he announces for kansas.

on another note, egwu is quietly developing into quite a beast down low and could be less of a projexct than i previously thought. he might not score 20 a game, but nobody will want to play against him.

In hindsight, it really didn't make sense for him to leave. Can anyone think of a coach who went to a program with worse prestige/tradition, in a worse conference, with worse current talent, and thousands of miles from his home area to boot?

No, but I'd do a lot of things for $3M a year.

I think the most concerning thing was the complete silence on his part. I don't blame him for talking to them, and I don't expect him to just come out and say "oh I'm just seeing what they have to say," or anything like that. I just found that him completely refusing to say anything was kind of strange and made me a bit uneasy.
