Unless Jerrance will stay and retain most of those recruiting classes, you take your chances that the talent will outweigh Weber's ineptitude.

Are those guys really any better coming out of high school than what you've had with Paul, Richardson, Richmond, Leonard and Head with an upperclassmen like McCamey running the point? Honestly I don't know but by recruiting rankings it seems like the same kind of guys you already have that he can't maximize.

It seems to me like Richmond is really underutilized right now. He's your best player now that McCamey suddenly sucks. I don't get it.

The reaction by Crean and the fans to that win was pretty funny though.

I gotta agree, I'd take my chances with Richmond vs any of Indiana players - the couldn't and can't stop him, still don't know why he didn't get the ball every time down the court.

This a thousand times this. We have a lot of talent now and we suck. Please god end this nightmare.

Plus Richmond probably only stays one more year right?

Next year no point guard we take a step back. Then Jereme goes pro and we take a step back. We could be looking at 8 years between tourny wins. Pretty awesome.

The only hope is that our big men recruits will actually play like big men. I think it's hilarious that the entire Big Ten and maybe the nation knows we have no one on our team who wants to carry the team on their back. Next to last possession everyone saw that no one wanted the ball. Someone help me to maintain some kind of optimism, but is there anything that shows you that we can go 6-4 or better the rest of the year?

For what's it's worth Richmond does seem to have the makeup and balls to take over, he alone could rip up Penn State. I hope he does.

I agree regarding Richmond. I actually think he and Leonard are capable of being leaders and challenging people. Once Richmond matures a bit he'll be awesome.

One comment I'd like to make is that people talk about our seniors not having the desire to win. To me, what's worse is they don't hate to lose. I know it may be semantics but if they really hated to lose they would've learned their lesson after the UIC game. If not then, than after the Penn State game, if not then, than..... Again, we got a team in the double bonus and we still create new ways to NOT get to the free throw line.

Richmond is under used, Tisdale is overused and McCamey has become an enigma.

And you blame it on the piece of [expletive] coach Weber. Fire him now. Unacceptable plain and simple. Hes terrible.

Is Weber even on the hot seat?

He is in the minds of about 90% of the fanbase, but the AD is absurdly loyal, he's most likely safe through at least next season

There's no way we don't win the NIT next year. We are gonna be loaded and have experience in that tourny.

Honest question, how much does Simeon beat IU by if they play today? 10?

Unless we have a booster like T Boone Pickens come forward Weber will be here until at least 2014. I think his contract doesn't run out until 2015. I don't see Guenther paying the buyout unless we have a donor make a huge contribution.

Simeon wins by 10 at IU and 20 at any gym or arena in Chicago. Hell, that may be the same point spread I'd give Simeon over Illinois.

Weber might be able to cut the 90% down to 75% if he starts Richmond and Leonard for the last 10 games.

What top level '13 recruits are possibly gonna want to play for us with the way this is going? Come be the next Crandall Head, is he still alive by the way? This is a trainwreck.

I love Richmond, but it seems most of his points are underneath, out-maneuvering post players bigger than him. I havent seen much outside the lane. He doesnt seem to have either a 15' jumper or the ability to beat a guy with 2-3 dribbles to get to the basket. He's going to have develop a hell of a lot to get any playing time in the NBA. I think its safe to say we get 3 years out of him.

The way Paul, Richardson, and lately DMac have been playing will erase any notion that Weber can develop guards.

Potential odd NCAA tournament quirk: If Dayton qualifies for the NCAA Tournament, but is in the First Four group, they'll play their opening round game at home.

I'm hoping Richmond will improve his jumper this off-season. Remember, Luther Head was a terrible jump shooter his freshman year, too.

Weber seems to have lost his seniors. If he realizes that he'll play Leonard, Griffey and Richmond more. Paul and Richardson can still be salvaged but they won't be if the offense still centers on McCamey.

I would start

DMac

Paul

Cole

Richmond

Leonard

from here on out.

I wasn't just in-game pissed when I said I wouldn't start a senior next game.

Vs. PSU I'd start

Paul

Richardson

Richmond

Griffey

Leonard

My hope down the stretch would be

DMac

Paul

Richmond

Davis/Cole

Leonard

But I've pretty much given up on expecting anything to wake up this senior class.

I would also start to get Crandall Head some minutes. Odds are he's gonna need to be able to play some point next year, at the very least he will need to contribute. It would be nice to get him some minutes now so he isn't basically a freshman again next year. But, I am sure we will see the same crap lineup with the possible exception of Jereme in Bill's spot. God forbid we ever, in the 4 years they are here, put the pressure on Tisdale and Davis.
