Penn State takes down another ranked team at home.

So that's home wins against Michigan State, Illinois and Wisconsin, while losing by 3 at OSU and 1 at Purdue.

I want this team in the NCAA Tourney so bad

2, 4, 5, 7, 10 (twice), 12, 13, 16, 17, 20, 22, 23, 25 all lost this week.

Plus, Mizzou and Texas are playing tonight so one of 7/11 will lose. Kansas or Vandy could conceivably be upset as well, but I don't think Ohio St. will go down... quite a week though...

A&M just lost to Nebraska. Glad to see Illinois isn't the only team playing down to its competition.

Nebraska is decent this year. 15-5, 3-3 in the Big 12 but they lost by only 3 at Kansas and were competitive at Mizzou. No real good wins though until today. Pomeroy has them ranked 41 and had that as a 2 point win for A&M.

Mizzou could certainly use a signature win on its resume. Right now, they have a bunch of nice wins, but no great wins. A w tonight in Austin would definitely change that.

i have a gut feeling Mizzou wins tonight. Not an attempt at a jinx. Something tells me Mizzou jumps up and bites UT.

Old Style just shot a puppy

Why would I do that? I like puppies.

Mizzou's nothing but a No. 5 seed getting knocked out in the first round by a 12.

What happened to your confidence from last week? We got 10 combined minutes out of Ratliffe and Bowers in the first half because Ratliffe got in foul trouble and then Bowers got a taste of the people's elbow. Texas is also the hottest team around and an especially bad matchup if Mizzou had big men troubles. This wasn't a game we were supposed to win. It sucks because we're looking like 4-4 at best from the first half of the schedule, but afterward we'll be favored in every game except the return Kansas game the rest of the way.

OU is .500 in conference after winning at Iowa State. Jeff Capel for national Coach of the Year.

At least they're playing hard this year. I feel like one of those weird guys that roots for a high school team when I say that, but last year was just so depressing.

.500 with Capel is better than anything with Sampson.

I changed my mind. Texas played like complete ass and we were never even close. We're going to lose a lot of tight road games this year that we shouldn't.

Texas missed a ton of free throws, but they also made everything from mid range and used their height advantage on the offensive boards like I've never seen. They played in such a way that Mizzou could have won, but they did not play poorly by any stretch.

after giving up an open 3 to tie it in regulation, iowa state fails to get a shot off on their last possession that started with 35 seconds left.

that's three conferences losses in which they've led with 1 minute or less left. starting to think ol' hoiberg may be in over his head right now.

The end of that was just crazy. It was like Capel and Hoiberg (with help from Garrett) were trying to out-dumb each other. Garrett runs the clock down then gives it up but once OU denies him the ball a little bit, Anderson just holds it until Hoiberg finally calls a timeout. No problem, still have 6 seconds left. Then again when OU denies Garrett a bit, ISU inbounds it into the backcourt with him running away from the hoop so he catches it back at OU's 3 point line and takes like 4 dribbles just to get across half court. They double him so he freaks out and lets the clock run out.

But wait, there's still .4 left. Capel draws up a home run play when there's like a .02% chance that you're going to score from 94 feet away with .4 seconds left. Of course the dude just airmails everyone and throws it out. Which then actually gives ISU a decent chance to win in regulation because they're inbounding it under their own hoop.

Mizzou probably won't win a game the rest of the year and Anderson's going to leave for some other crap school and we'll have to start all over.
