Linebacker Will Witherspoon is visiting the Titans. I'm not really familiar with Witherspoon, but I believe he's a fairly athletic linebacker who has put up some decent stats.

Definitely an interesting prospect.

Ryan Clark resigns with the Steelers.
Wow, talk about a sudden change of heart. He quits almost immediately after he re-signs. :D

Descending player, but still useful at WLB. The Rams' defense got signifcantly worse when he was traded.

I've heard comparisons to a younger Keith Bulluck, but I really doubt he's that good. I think he'd make a solid stop-gap while Reinfeldt/Fisher look for and develop a young LB.

The Panthers have continued their youth movement by releasing long-time FB and fan favorite Brad Hoover.

I have no idea what that team is doing right now.

Filed to ESPN: Thomas Jones signs in Kansas City: two years, $5 million. Chiefs have their running back. No need for Willie Parker to visit.

A day after trading for Seneca Wallace, the Browns cut Derek Anderson.

Wouldn't Be Suprised to see him on the Seahawks

That would be a good move by either the Seahawks or the Rams. He's shown potential and could be at least a stop gap/backup type guy if nothing else.

Rumors are that Carolina may get him since our offensive coordinator used to work with him in Cleveland, which I can accept if given the assurance that he will never, ever, ever start a game, ever, unless we've clinched a 1 seed or something.

Browns now exploring a possible Brady Quinn trade according to Adam Schefter. Looks like they want to blow it up and start over.

that Thomas Jones signing is stupid

they already have one of the best backs in football and Battle & Castille probably would have been fine with short yardage

I figured Charles would take off next year in a similar fashion to what we saw from Chris Johnson the past year. He was sensational in the second half of the season.

I don't get the Jones move at all for them.

ESPN's John Clayton reported Antonio Bryant's deal at four year, $28 million, with incentives that could push it to $29 million.

I think the worry is that Charles isn't going to hold up well to a full workload. Having Jones in reserve and as a short yardage guy seems like a worthy upgrade, especially since it's a 2 year deal so there's little cap implication.
