wow, a bunch of dicks in this thread

Not surprising. It's the same group that seems to think it's hilarious making jokes about every person that dies.

Lewis, a senior from Fort Wayne, Ind., was injured with 4:32 to play in the game

is injured really the right word there?

No, I don't think so.

That's terrible.

Worst part is he apparently just had a son not too long ago. Sad story.

Wow, good thing he wasn't D-I or this would really suck.

anyone else find it amusing that this is manbearcub's first post in about a month, and his last post was a joke in the chris henry thread? i think that has become his sole mission on this board, to post something dickish when someone dies.

How could you tell that the comment was homosexual? Was it flamboyant, or did you see it having sex with other comments?

i think a kid in my middle school had that. he collapsed during a game, i believe it was 7th grade... they were able to save his life but he suffered severe brain damage as a result of the accident (i guess oxygen stopped getting to his brain for too long of a time) and he was in a wheelchair and not much more than a vegetable for the next few years. haven't heard anything more about him since i graduated high school.

i believe the condition he had is much more prevalent in blacks than whites, for whatever reason.

One of the kids who I played basketball with growing up died from the same thing. I don't think his famiy knew about it before hand either.

I'm probably overstepping my bounds here, but when it comes to certain diseases, yeah you could make a case that different races are different "breeds" - at least when it comes to susceptibility to diseases.

The genetic makeup of certain races make them more, or almost solely, receptive to certain diseases.

Sad. I'm originally from Evansville and used to attend USI games occasionally (they were real good back then with Bruce Pearl -- yeah, yeah, Illinois fans, I know). Not that me being from there makes this any more sad, but hits a bit closer to home, I suppose.
