Sorry fellas.

It appears Norwood is the consensus pick for the Browns so we'll go with him. Though I'm not sure he's really a 3-4 linebacker.

soccer10k and the Raiders are now on the clock. I PMd him.

Sorry about that...

With a baby on the way and my dad being rushed to the hospital every other week (including Sat.), I haven't been online much.

Buffalo probably has the worst QB+WR corps combination in the league. They need a lot of help, but with just Trent Edwards, Brian Brohm, and Ryan Fitzpatrick on the roster, QB needs a serious upgrade. Colt McCoy is the pick, and with Dez Bryant from the 1st round gives Buffalo fans some young excitement on Offense for once.

Don't worry about it. Congrats on the baby and I hope your dad gets better.

The pick is between Jerry Hughes and Corey Wootton. Wootton is bigger and Hughes is probably more of a 3-4 OLB but I like his pass rushing potential, even if he is small.

The pick is Jerry Hughes.

Good point. The Dolphins took Earl Thomas in the first round.

Do they look to fill Porter's 3-4 pass rushing OLB role here or do they look at another receiver? Or do they look to plug in a young running back with Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown getting older/injured?

Possibles:

OLB Daryl Washington

OLB Navorro Bowman (4-3 LB?)

RB Jonathan Dwyer

RB Montario Hardesty

DT Cam Thomas

WR Demaryius Thomas

WR Brandon LaFell

Thoughts?

I'd probably go Washington, Dwyer or Hardesty here.

Washington fills the departure of Porter, while Dwyer and Hardesty are the big, physical type backs the Dolphins have had with Williams/Brown.

I checked a few mocks and they have the Dolphins going safety (already covered), RB, OLB and WR.

The original wildcat team obviously has to take Tebow here.

They already have their Wildcat QB in Pat White.

Although honestly, I've had the Dolphins pegged as a possible destination for Tebow for a while now. They might just be creative enough to take him.

Alright, we're going to go ahead and make a pick here. The Dolphins need to fill the void at OLB, so they take the best currently on the board - Daryl Washington, OLB, TCU.

ELCABALLO and the Pats are now on the clock. I PMd him.

Since we have three 2nd rounders, I decided to do a "Belichick" move.

The Patriots select...

QB, Tim Tebow - Florida

Yes! The Patriots are another team I could see going for Tebow. Mainly because of Belichick and the fact that they have 3 or 4 picks in the first two rounds.

Agreed.

Also just realized I have three 2nd rounders not just two. Man Belichick loves the draft.

That he does. The Patriots make an art out of trading back and getting bunches of picks.

And I'd put money on them trading down and acquiring even more picks.

I'd also put money on them taking Tebow, if he's around in the second round, and someone really good hasn't fallen.

Alright then, unless somebody has a better pick here, the Giants will select Navorro Bowman, OLB, Penn State. Bowman has good straight line speed and can get sideline to sideline quickly. He's not quite as physical as the Giants like, but that can be developed.

Andy and the Panthers are finally on the clock. I PMd him.

Hey, I get to pick now? Yay!

So since we have cut half our team, I have no idea what Carolina will look to do, but I'll bet on giving Matt Moore some more weapons. WalterFootball.com has us taking Mardy Gilyard from Cincinnati with this pick. That sounds good to me.

So the Panthers take Mardy Gilyard.
