As big as it looks on tv, seeing it in person blows that away.

Rose Bowl game was awesome, good to see the Big Ten showing up again during bowl season. Too bad that Northwestern had to come up short, they played their hearts out and deserve to break that 61 year old streak. (almost as embarrassing as the Cubs one)

The rest of the BCS games may be really ho-hum though. Expected to see Cincy get slapped up but was surprised it got so out of hand. Hope that Iowa can keep the Big Ten lookin' good but I'm not betting my house on it. I don't think the National Championship will be a superb game but the last time I thought that it was Fla-OSU and it ended up being a spanking the other way and the time before that it was Texas-USC and that was one of the best games I've ever seen.

Yeah I'll admit that was a dumb penalty, but I'm not complaining, seeing as how the refs screwed us over on a few calls too. That was an exciting game, though.

Go Penn State!

Seriously? I can't think of one that "screwed" PSU. That penalty was BS, dude was trying to kill the clock. Should have been a delay of game on PSU.

The last illegal motion penalty against PSU, that was obviously an offsides against LSU? Not that it mattered in the end, but it forced us to settle on a FG.

One? Wow, what a screw job and I'm not sure it was an offsides. Games already been erased from the DVR so I can't check and don't remember what it looked like, but isn't it possible the DL just got a good jump. That penalty at the end was pure BS. Care to defend it on its merits?

As a neutral voice in this (i dont give an f about either team) I think it was very clearly an offsides. The announcers even called it right when it happened and then had to backtrack on their words later. Not that announcers are always(ever) the best reference; but it looked clear to me.

I don't think PSU got "screwed" on any calls, but its not like there was no attempt. The spot on a crucial 3rd down that needed reviewed and overturned was pretty brutal. When Paterno can clearly see it on the same sideline as you, yet you still mark it 2 yards(!!) short you may need to check your eyesight.

That linesman was pretty bad on spots all game, for both teams. He would come running down so far off from where the actual spot was, he was walking sideways once the other refs would accurately spot it.

Almost lining up for a 4th down when it was actually 2nd down was not funny, it was sad.

Damn the speed of Miami, Oregon and LSU.

If Iowa beats Georgia Tech the Big Ten will have the most impressive showing in bowls among BCS conferences. Although the SEC still has so many games left to play they could take it also.

Big 12 can easily one up them. Especially since MSU will lose by 80.

I know you said BCS, but it needs to be pointed out that the Mountain West will probably wind up 5-0. This is why TCU should have been in the title game. (Unless TCU loses in which case, forget I said anything)

I know Nathan Stanley, Ole Miss' backup QB, from covering him in high school about 1,000 times. He actually kind of reminds me of Snead. Lot's of measurables but questionable decision making.

I know he's three inches shorter, but I'll be interested to see what McCluster runs at the combine. I don't think he'll be as explosive as Chris Johnson, but I think he can have a similar type of impact.

I knew Arkansas had 2 starters suspended for the Liberty Bowl, but I didn't know ECU also had 2 players suspended:

The Memphis Commercial Appeal reported that Paulk and Williams scuffled during the AutoZone Liberty Bowl awards luncheon and nearly flipped over a table while fighting over a dessert. According to the paper, one player had the other in a headlock and was hitting him.
