Bulls are boarding their arses off.

How's that possible with Blair getting 80 boards per game?

Is this going to be a season long thing where you're nowhere to be found when Blair plays well and constantly yapping when he doesn't? It's not like he was even the problem for the Spurs tonight.

Anyway, good win. Rose looked about a billion times better on defense. The Bulls didn't really shoot it very well from the floor or the line but it seemed like there was a good cutback on wasted possessions (e.g. Gordon dribbling off his foot 3x a game). And I'm not complaining about Vinny which is nice.

So you'll hear him yapping at least 70 times this season.

He's a petulant whiner when it comes to basketball so I guess it wouldn't matter either way.

Rose and Noah put in some gym time. It shows.

Hinrich is so versatile and Deng is still a good player. All you Hinrich haters can continue to suck it.

Salmons still can't catch and shoot which is basically the number one thing you want out of your 2 in a Derrick Rose-led offense.

Does anyone know why the shot clocks were on the floor?

Early in the game they mentioned a malfunction with the scoreboard mounted ones.

The thing I was most excited about was the activity level on both ends of the floor. So many times in the past several seasons I felt like there was too much standing around going on. The Bulls made the Spurs look old and tired.

Very good win tonight. We caught the Spurs at a good time as they were on the back leg of a back-to-back where they had to travel to Chicago overnight. That's the main reason why I thought we won tonight. The Spurs looked pretty tired while we looked like we were running them out of the gym in the second half.

Tomorrow probably won't be very fun though.

Am I the only one who still can't believe that we lucked into getting Derrick Rose?

It's not much of an exaggeration to say that lottery ball saved the franchise from being in a black hole for a few years.

It was big to get this one since we're almost certainly not winning tomorrow. Very good win.

I think the Bulls can be 4th best in the East. They looked every bit as good as anyone in the East outside of Boston. Hinrich, Deng, and Thomas are the keys to this team. They all need to play like last night, every game this season. And it's not like any of them had monster games. Deng has to continue to hit shots and help out on the boards (9 last night). Hinrich has to hit shots and take care of the ball (1 TO, 2-5 from 3). And Tyrus needs to bring energy defensively and hit open shots.

I'm sold that Noah and Rose will consistently play at the top of their games.

I am as well, turns out Noah may be worth something after all.

Nice win, but I'm not ready to draw any conclusions. I was impressed by Noah's play, and TT in the 3rd quarter was really nice to see as well.

They looked like a solid team, confident. It was fun to watch. Nice job.

I'm not writing off tonight as a loss. Most of you thought the Bulls would lose to the Spurs, so why assume they'll lose to Boston?

Boston looks very tough... at least for the beginning of the season before KG's knees fall apart. Plus it's on the road. I'll write it off as a loss and be extremely pleasantly surprised if they win. I'll be very happy if it's a competitive game.

They aren't even close to Cleveland and Orlando.

I'm just taking a shot in the dark here, but that may be why he thinks they can be 4th.

Then why say they looked every bit as good as anyone outside of Boston if he meant outside of Boston, Cleveland and Orlando?

So far this year. As in, after one game.

Raw's statement could mean a lot of things. And Cleveland hasn't looked very good (even though they are obviously a head and shoulders better team than us).

Orlando is definitely a glaring omission in the statement, though.

Stern gave Ewing to the Knicks and Rose to the Bulls.

Gracias, Senor Sterno.

Damn, I wish I could have watched yesterday's game. I'll definitely tune intoday (out-of-towners: the game is on ESPN at 7 pm CT).

Great to see Deng with a solid game after the injury and poor play last season.
