I definitely remember now how hard it is to like an undefeated team, as everyone else pretty much develops a hatred for your team. Went through it in 2006 with the Bears.

People don't hate Iowa because they are undefeated. It's because they play in a weak conference, are over-rated and play a sissy non-conference schedule . They should be ranked about #14. Florida, Alabama, Texas and USC would crush them and about 9 other good teams would beat them easily.

right just like they've crushed the other good teams they've played this year.

I love how these threads turn into an argument about the Big Ten's strength every week.

The Big Ten isn't good this year, but Iowa has had the toughest schedule of those 4, it's not really close.

I don't really have a problem with saying Iowa's played the toughest schedule of the unbeatens while saying I think they're an inferior team to most of the unbeatens. If they go undefeated and Texas drops, go ahead and put em in the title game. I think they'd get spanked but I wouldn't have a problem putting them there.

Nice push Michigan O-line. Also, glad our WR could be caught from behind with a 10-yard head start.

Texas fits all those criteria, Florida doesn't play anyone non conference and USC lost to freaking Washington. And Iowa would destroy all those team, because I said so.

Iowa State, Arkansas State, Arizona and a bunch of Big Ten patsies. LOL at Iowa's schedule.

ABC is cringing at the thought of Iowa in the Rose Bowl and yet another Pac 10 blowout.

Why Michigan didn't just sneak it in with Forcier is ridiculous. Not that I'm complaining or anything.

Because Forcier is the size of a small female gymnast. He's already banged up because he doesn't have any size.

Stupid evidence that states otherwise.

Florida and Alabama play in the SEC - they don't need to play a tough non-conference schedule as they play in a real conference with a playoff game. Arizona is the 4th best team in the Pac 10. Beating them at home is not that big of a deal. Althouht beating Iowa State and Arkansas State was huge.

Reminder - There is a reason the Big Ten went 1 - 7 in bowls games last year. It's not a very good conference.

I love how beating a team who is either going to be tied for first in the Pac-10 or all by them selves in second is not a good win.

according to sagarin (i know, i know, not as reliable as nsbb's voice of reason), iowa has a tougher schedule than florida, alabama, texas, boise state, tcu, cincinnati, and lots and lots and lots and lots of other teams.

If you're going to use last year as any evidence (you shouldn't because that's dumb) Iowa beat the piss out of a team from a real conference.

You know what. I'm done. Maybe Iowa shouldn't be in the title game but to pretty much say that they are barely top 15 is really dumb (that is based on everything up to today, if they choke the next 3 games away then they obviously aren't top 25.)

I hate to say it, but whoever makes the Rose Bowl out of the Big Ten is likely to lose, Iowa or not. USC and Oregon are both very, very good teams and I'd expect them to handle Iowa or Penn State.
