If I'm ranking them as who would win on a neutral field, I'd go:

TCU

Cincy

Boise

Iowa

Im pretty shocked that an ISU fan would rank that order.

I definitely remember now how hard it is to like an undefeated team, as everyone else pretty much develops a hatred for your team. Went through it in 2006 with the Bears.

I don't think anyone hates Iowa. We're just trying to point out that your team has many cracks in the armor and would probably get beat handily by a team like Alabama, Florida, or Texas.

Id say you guys are pissing and moaning more about rankings. No one is denying that there are "cracks in the armor" - but the other top 3 teams all have flaws as well. Florida just hasnt been exposed yet, and Texas is not that much better than Iowa. Alabama is the only team I would put above Iowa, and I still say we could beat them on gameday.

Id say winning by 18 points when you lost Richardson, Robinson, and Sandeman last week aint bad. Iowa has become very familiar with the term "next man in line" this year, and keeps winning.

The only people that think Iowa is better than any of those teams is a certain percentage of the Hawkeye fanbase.

I put out this question last week, but rank these 4 unbeaten teams:

Iowa

TCU

Cinci

Boise State.

The only real reason Iowa is ranked ahead of any of them is because they come from a major conference.

Are you kidding? Why do you think Texas is #3 right now?

Only Boise has a better win than Iowa over PSU, and everyone else Boise has played is terrible.

I'm trying to think of the last time a worse matchup of two teams has been on national network television than Michigan at Illinois today. 6-9 combined record (1-8 Big 10 record).

That, and the fact that Iowa has a stronger strength of schedule. And would beat them.

But aside from that, it's all Big 10.

Just thought of Duke at Notre Dame, November 2007. Apologies to all Big Ten fans, because that one pretty much takes the cake.

Georgia coming out in black helmets, which look ridiculous.

Not as ridiculous as Tennessee will look tonight in orange pants and black jerseys.

I think that will look cool. Just will be a step down from their orange tops.

No, you don't have to apologize. Michigan shouldn't be on TV.

there have been about 1350 yards of offense in this southern miss-houston game!

Keenum is 44-54 for 559 yards and 5 TD.

apparently the qb of holy cross' opponent (fordham) has set some sort of record for pass attempts (67) in a game... maybe patriot league record or something.

I know a certain Saints/Purdue QB who had 83 attempts and 55 completions against Wisconsin in his first season as a starter. Both were records at the time but I think they have since been broken.

A poster from a board that I frequent.

I remember 5 questionable plays.

1.) Indiana appears they MAY have got a first down but they look at replay and confirm that they made the correct call originally. It didn't matter because our player made a dumb mistake and encroached on the next play, making it a moot point. First down, Indiana.

2.) Indiana WR catches a ball in the back of the endzone. The refs call it incomplete and then it is reviewed and confirmed. Player looks like he caught the ball for the TD. It doesn't matter because Indiana scores on the next play.

3.) Iowa WR catches a 20 yard pass that is questionable. Play is reviewed and overturned. Incomplete pass.

4.) Indiana WR catches a pass in the endzone. Play is reviewed and should not have been overturned IMO. Indiana misses a FG on the next play. Probably a bad call by the replay booth. Lou Holtz and Bob Davie disagree with the overturn, Mark May says it is correct in postgame. 1 play that was probably bad and Indiana got screwed on it.

5.) Helmet to Helmet hit on Iowa WR by Indiana DB. Borderline but from the ref's angle, it looks like the correct call. Could have easily been a no-call. I believe Iowa threw a pick on the next pass anyways.

I'm pretty sure Iowa's strength of schedule is better or as good as all the undefeated teams. Yeah, they've barely beaten some bad teams but THEY'VE BEATEN GOOD TEAMS ALSO and most of those were on the road.

But the Big Ten sucks I guess, so beating a one loss team and a two loss team in their house doesn't mean much.

People don't hate Iowa because they are undefeated. It's because they play in a weak conference, are over-rated and play a sissy non-conference schedule . They should be ranked about #14. Florida, Alabama, Texas and USC would crush them and about 9 other good teams would beat them easily.

Texas fits all those criteria, Florida doesn't play anyone non conference and USC lost to freaking Washington. And Iowa would destroy all those team, because I said so.
