We've had our full team like once or twice this year and Aramis still isn't hitting and Soriano's can't be 100% with his knee either.

No team is ever really 100%, to be fair.

But how many teams lose their best player for 1.5 months?

[cough]LOS ANGELES DODGERS[/COUGH]

So 1? (And the thread of this conversation was about injuries, Manny Ramirez didn't get hurt for 50 games.)

Did you say injury? No... you said "lose their best player".

Where did I say I said injury? I said that the thread of the conversation was about health. I was adding on to the conversation that was already there.

Yankees with A-Rod.

Yeah, that's the only one I could think of.

Bradley needs to move up in the lineup - too bad 6-9 is a black hole for the foreseeable future.

Yup Bradley needs to move to 2nd in the order, and move Theriot down to 6th or 7th so someone down there can make contact.

well yeah they lose him for 50 games but they also get 100+ games of roided-up manny.

Lol, no doubt.

@ CaliforniaRaisin

You said "How many teams lose their best player for 1.5 months"... I said MANNY and look where they're at with a similar "depth" situation as we were supposed to have.

Losing your best player should lead to someone else stepping up in place of that person (similar to how Derrek Lee stepped up in the last few weeks).

Dodgers sure did fine without their "best player" to the tune of 29-21.

It happens periodically in baseball, though. Remember when Pujols had that oblique problem? Or Lance Berkman's knee? Or that time Prince Fielder had to go on the DL with a dislocated jaw because he tried to swallow a honey-baked ham whole?

Aside from Ludwick, Wells has been steller tonight, but unfortunately the stat sheets dont reflect that type of thin.

I find that rather fortunate, personally. Almost every pitcher has a good game outside of a few key at-bats.

Prince is a vegetarian so it was a big salad. Like the one Elaine likes.
