Those 4 and 5 seeds are really underwhelming.

It gives me hope that Illinois could actually have a decent shot at winning some games if they can avoid the 8/9 spot.

7s: Baylor, Texas A&M, Dayton, Richmond

EDIT: Because they're behind on time, NCAA staff is filling out the rest of the seeds themselves during a lunch break.

That's gotta be a typo.

They won the fake Pac-10 tournament. They're the only Pac-10 team in the field.

Missed that one. I'll allow it.

Okay, Baylor is one thing, but what in the world has Oklahoma State done to be in front of Mizzou/anyone? They're 3-7 against the Top 100(KenPom) for crying out loud.

Oklahoma State hasn't done anything. Mizzou will have its shot to rise up. They still have Texas, at KSU, and kU at home. If they can somehow, someway take 2 of those 3 (not terribly likely), they will rise up pretty far.

Yeah, I don't want to make it seem like I think Mizzou is way underseeded or something. But when I see teams they beat and/or teams looking up at them in the conference with similar resumes being seeded above them, in Baylor's case way above them, I start getting concerned.

You already have a lucky win over Illinois, don't get greedy

The other day in the cafeteria I over heard a conversation. This guy was going on and on about how Illinois has the second best record in the Big Ten and how Mizzou blew them out, which proves how much better the Big XII is than the Big Ten.

His reasoning is bad, but his conclusion isn't. The Big 12 is way better than the Big 10.

I agree. It just frustrated me, because that was his only reason.

This Pitt-WVU game is insane. Pitt came back from 7 down with less than 50 seconds left in regulation to send it to overtime, and WVU just hit a 3 with 1.4 seconds left to send it to 2OT.

Sounds valid to me.

The Pitt-WVU game reminds me of the game in 2001 where Duke was trailing Maryland 90-80 with just under a minute to go, yet tied the game 90-90 at the end of regulation and won 98-96 in OT.

I hate coming across that Duke footage, Williams.

I remember watching that game on TV. I don't recall if I watched the entire game, but I at least saw the comeback and overtime.
