The Braves rotation will include Lowe, Vazquez, Jair Jurrjens and Kawakami. Jo-Jo Reyes, Charlie Morton, James Parr, Tommy Hanson and Tom Glavine could potentially compete for the fifth spot in the rotation.

Yes, I believe he needed TJS.

so their rotation is something like:

Hudson

Lowe

Jurrjens

Vazquez

Jo-Jo/Campillo

?

Hudson is probably gonna be hurt most of the season. Lowe is now their number 1, followed by Jurrjens or Vazquez. They signed Kenshin Kawakami to be their number 4 starter. They will let Jo Jo Reyes, Campillo and Morton battle for the 5th spot, with Hanson being the long shot.

Is it just me, or does this seem like too much? Especially the length.

a few weeks ago didn't Lowe make a big deal about how he was all about winning and the team he would choose would be the team that gave him the best chance at winning titles? i know all athletes say that, but i remember him being very adamant about it.

At least we wont have to worry about runing into Lowe in the playoffs.

i wouldn't say that so surely. atlanta is putting together a pretty good rotation. it shouldn't take a large amount of wins to take the nl wild card in 2009. i really hope we don't have to face him in the playoffs again either way though. and if we do, maybe the hitters will be prepared for the low and away pitches this time.

but nothing about that lineup excites me.

I love the caption on ESPN.com's MLB page: "The Braves could have made it easier and traded for Peavy, but instead they sign Lowe, who is older, more expensive, and not as good."
