I can't find that article so maybe I'm crazy but I thought it was Gordo or Levine who mentioned the Cubs were getting massive overages bill in the "construction projects" hotel ect. I thought it was over a $100M.

Kinda shocked we didn't sign anyone to underslot deals, what a weird year to shy away from that strategy with the extra first round pick.

I'm having similar results with Fansedge.com. One of my fed ex shipments went from Ohio-TN-Burbank IL-Chicago-Berlin Wi- Now its going to be delivered by the post office with estimated delivery Thursday. No idea

Castro/Torres/Soler/Billy Mckinney/Crawford for what amounts to 1 full season and 3 months of team control for closers. Davis also costs 10M and is coming off two DL stints for forearm strains. Doesn't seem like the best use of assets.

I don't love the idea of emptying the farm when the Cubs have plenty of $$$ to get it done via free agency. Rich Hill coming back to Chicago on a 2 year or 3 year deal makes sense. The Cubs have the luxury of slotting him in the fifth slot and giving him extra days rest. Cubs keep the first round pick and get to gamble on adding another frontline pitcher to the rotation with Arrietta and Lackey still under tow for another year. Rich Hill Melacon or Chapman Holland/Ziegler/Hudson/Rodney/Uehara/Storen/ Hochevar/Papelbon Trade Bait Soler Rondon Szczur Villenueva Canderlio Montero Lastella If the Cubs decide to let Dexter walk having two first round picks and Soler/ Rondon to restock the pitching should go a along way.

Playoff revenue , the inveitable ticket price increase, additional seats in the old bullpens, and new $$$ seats behind home plate. Theo and company are playing possum.

I really would be shocked to see them not sign Jansen or Chapman at this point. The Cubs don't have a ton of money committed after this year with Lackey/Montero/Arrietta/Strop coming off the books. We are a big market team that just won the world series.

I'm pretty sure it was accident on stub hubs part but they ended up giving me a $100 off coupon which was the first offer. I kept after them through Dm on twitter and was told I would be given my money back and the full amount of my order in coupon form for my next purchase. Somewhere along the line my account was credited with both. 196.00 SR0 purchase after fee 100 coupon 296.00 in total credits. Used them to grab a SRO for game 1 in Ohio for $192.50 after credits.

After having sucesss with the getting the board involved after I tweeted Len and JD/ Bruce miles about Freds passing. I'm hoping to to get a couple up votes for a much less serious matter. Stubhub screwed me over on Saturday and didn't live up to there "Seat Guarantee". I've had success using reedit and twitter to remedy disputes with other companies before.

Trying to explain to my dad ten years ago that I knew Fred from Cubs.com and northside was comical, I saw Fred in the bleachers a few years ago while I was on a date and he was proud to see I was now using the internet to meet women, not just old guys with beards who love Cubs baseball too.

lol - hitting the booze early on a Friday? I'm jealous. 3 out of 4 aint too bad. Still surprised Candyman wasn't called up. If I had guessed Tim F over adding a Lefty arm in the pen for sept then I could see you thinking I was boozing. Apparently Theo was and wanted to win a bet about calling up Tim to get another player with a Z on the roster.

Alomora /Candyman/Patton/Kawaski are almost all sure bets IMO. I think will see 1 from the group of Leatherstich/Concepion/Soto/Thatcher up to help keep innings down for Wood and Rob Z.

Maddon over managing here. Hammels earned the right to correct himself and give the team a chance to win. The Cubs are not in the heat of a pennant race right now.

Joe not going to Baez/Contreas/Ross/Wood instead on Miggy in that spot was suprising to say the least but it worked.
