The bad part is that there isn't much in the way of top QBs uncommitted right now. Devlin picked a horrible time to decide to transfer as most all of the good QBs are mostly locked up.

If JoPa wants one in this class, he'll likely have to steal one away from another team.

which he may be able to do, since they won't be buried in the depth chart for 2 years anymore

Possible, though QBs are a weird breed. Matt Barkley (top QB prospect in this class) is heading to USC despite there being three former five star recruits in front of him.

BCS DECLARES GERMANY WINNER OF WORLD WAR II

US Ranked 4th

AP - After determining the Big-12 championship game participants, the BCS computers were put to work on other major contests and today the BCS declared Germany to be the winner of World War II.

"Germany put together an incredible number of victories beginning with the annexation of Austria and the Sudetenland and continuing on into conference play with defeats of Poland, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Its only losses came against the US and Russia; however, considering their entire body of work--including an incredibly tough Strength of Schedule--our computers deemed them worthy of the #1 ranking."

Questioned about the #4 ranking of the United States the BCS commissioner stated "The US only had two major victories--Japan and Germany. The computer models, unlike humans, aren't influenced by head-to-head contests--they consider each contest to be only a single, equally-weighted event."

Rupert Stooplegruber, great grandson of German Chancellor Adolph Hitler, and who lives in Norman under an assumed name, said "Yes, we lost to the US ; but we defeated #2 ranked France in only 6 weeks." His grandfather has been criticized for seeking dramatic victories to earn 'style points' to enhance Germany's rankings. Stooplegruber protested "Our contest with Poland was in doubt until the final day and the conditions in Norway were incredibly challenging and demanded the application of additional forces."

The French ranking has also come under scrutiny. The BCS commented "France had a single loss against Germany and following a preseason #1 ranking they only fell to #2."

Japan was ranked #3 with victories including Manchuria, Borneo and the Philippines in spite of blowout losses at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

I think it was posted before, but I don't remember when or where.

It's great stuff though.

And Notre Dame got the #1 ranked QB the previous two years (Clausen, Crist). Still having trouble figuring that one out.

Don't know if I agree with this, the top two QBs left on PSU's board are Newsome and Boyd, and both are uncommitted (although they lead the country in previous commitments...).

Not saying we land either of them, but you'd have to assume one is a possibility. I work in the PSU A.D. and I have some contacts who are convinced that Newsome will announce for PSU at the Army game because he's already told staff as much. TFWIW.

I don't know about Newsome, but Tajh Boyd only wants to play in a pro-style offense. What Jay Paterno did this year may scare Boyd away.

Galen Hall scripted his offense for the personnel he had. The top 3 WR's are graduating, and by the time Boyd slotted in at QB (2010), the makeup of the team will be entirely different. One thing PSU has not been the past decade or so is a "system" school. The offense they've run with Clark/Robinson is very different than the one they ran with Morelli

That's a good point. JoPa should make sure Boyd understands that though. He decommitted from WVU because he doesn't want to run the spread or any version of it.

- FOX10 News sources have told us Auburn will name Will Muschamp its new Head Coach sometime Friday. Muschamp was Auburn's Defensive Coordinator two years ago.

This season he was on the sidelines as the Defensive Coordinator for the Texas Longhorns. He was also named as the Longhorns Head Coach in waiting.

According to our source, Auburn will hold a press conference sometime Friday to make the announcement.

We will continue to update this story as it develops here on Fox10tv.com.

Florida offensive coordinator Dan Mullen is expected to be announced as the new Mississippi State head coach tomorrow.

Guess it's a real crap shoot when you appoint a coordinator to an SEC head coaching job. On the one hand you have Mark Richt and on the other you have Ed Orgeron.

Ed Orgeron wasn't a coordinator before Ole Miss. He was a DL coach and assistant head coach, but not the defensive coordinator.

So apparently, Fulmer's taste in QB's was nowhere close to Kiffin's. For the 2nd time in 2 weeks, Kiffin has told a committed QB that he still has a scholarship offer, but that he's not a fit for the offense. Bryce Petty will now look elsewhere.

Crist was the number 2 pro-style QB, according to Rivals. Not sure about Scout, and that is a small detail, but I can be contrary that way. Sorry.

According to Auburn's Rivals site, Will Muschamp will be named head coach on Friday.

According to Tennessee's Rivals site, former OC Dave Clawson is the new head coach at Bowling Green.

Did the B12 have some secret meeting where they got all 12 coaches in a room and they decided..'eff it, lets not bother with the defense anymore, its not as fun as offense anyways'. I mean really the notion that a WHOLE conference doesnt play defense seems silly to me. I actually googled 'B12 cant play defense' to see what came up. I could of just googled diarrhea and got the same crap. There are reasons they have some really proficient offenses. The 2 biggest are QBs and using spread offenses. If these teams were putting up these numbers with traditional offenses i might buy more into the arguement that they dont play defense. McCoy, Bradford, Harrell, Daniel together are probably the most talented group of qbs ever playing under one conference at the same time(Reesing is good, but not quite in these guys class, he is probably the most 'system' qb of these 4; Z. Robinson doesnt get the attention he deserves either) AND they run offenses that amplify their skills. The B10 doesnt have any QB that can stack up to the main 4 from the B12, their best is Clark and thats probably all they really have for really good qbs from that conference (coincidently PSU has the best offense in the B10 and they run a form of a spread offense). The SEC is just Tebow and Stafford for really good qbs. CFB offense is all about the Qbs and the B12 has got 'em.

This is on point. McCoy, Daniel, Freeman, and Harrell are 3 year starters, and Bradford, Robinson, Ganz, Reesing, and Arnaud are all returning starters, plus the top newcomer was Baylor's freshman QB Griffin. You'll see a step down next year with upwards of half the conference having turnover at QB.

let's just say that tebow isn't into that kind of stuff if you know what i mean (i'm saying he's homosexual)
