I saw Ben Roethlisberger at the NU-Illinois game. I asked, "Ben why are you here?" He pointed to a guy and said "This fool."

I really don't care about the bowl streak as much as everyone else does. None of those outcomes really meant anything (I like bowls, but the fact is except for the national title game, none of those outcomes really mean anything - it's about the experience). I'm glad the young players can get another month of practice time before (hopefully) the new coach comes in. That's all I really care about.

not really sure what the point is of firing weis and going to someone else now. he's a pretty good recruiter and while some of his in-game coaching isn't great, he can probably adjust there. the bigger problem is that notre dame isn't an elite program any more, and they can't go out and name their coach like they once could. i don't think they'll get an elite coach, and if they can't, then they're probably better off keeping the continuity of weis.

I actually hope ya'll fire Weiss because I heard a (very unreliable) rumor that ND would then go after Urban Meyer and there would be mutual interest.
