does Tennessee have the players to run a Mike Leach offense?

We've got the receivers (Gerald Jones and Ahmad Paige) and the running backs (Montario Hardesty and Lennon Creer).

The offensive line isn't very good, though, and the quarterbacks suck. That said, five-star recruit Tajh Boyd has committed to Tennessee and hopefully he'll be able to actually complete passes.

I think the players can run it, though it wouldn't be nearly as effective next season as it is with Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree spearheading it. The frustrating thing with this offense is that there's good talent on the team, they're just not performing.

I think you greatly underestimate BJ Coleman. In the JV game against Hargrave, Coleman looked really good. YOu can say that the level of competition was terrible, but he hit his open receivers, which is something Tennessee fans have not seen much of thus far.

I definitely want to see Coleman. Just the fact that Cutcliffe liked him so much makes me want to see what he can do. I was hoping Fulmer would go ahead and start him today, though I do like Crompton (not his play, but his general attitude).

That said, I'll be shocked (and pleasantly so) if Coleman can beat out Boyd next year (assuming Boyd truly signs with us).

Any new nuggets on the coaching search?

Not much new on the coaching front. I'd be a little surprised if Leach gets it over Kelly, as my understanding is that there are some in the Athletic Department who do not like Leach at all. Also, I have heard that Bruce Pearl is pushing Kelly as the next coach at UT.

I won't be the least bit surprised if Coleman beats out Boyd. I think he's the real deal. We're about to see.

Dang. I don't dislike Kelly, but I really think Leach is a great coach.

BJ Coleman is in the game after UT recovers a fumble.

THis is the worst Offensive line is UT history. Cannot wait to see Adkins gone.

I think we're seeing the reason this year why Cutcliffe threw the ball alot on short patterns and focused on just getting it out of Ainge's hands.

He probably knew this line was terrible.

With 2 minutes left in the first quarter, Vandy has yet to attempt a pass - even though Chris Nickson has dropped to pass 5-6 times.

The UT dline is getting ridiculous pressure on him right now.

Janoris Jenkins picks off no-name Citadel quarterback. On Senior Day, Kehstan Moore gets the start at HB ahead of the trip fish. Expect Moore to get a good 20-25 carries today.

Berry continues to be the Vols best offensive asset. Pick six. 17-0 Vols

and michigan just got gashed on the first two plays of the second half. a 49 yard rush and a 32 yard rush.

Tim Tebow's day won't last long at this rate. Four possessions: 8 for 10 170 yards, 2 TDs and 2 rushes for 34 yards. Florida up 28-0 after four possessions each

The problem is that Florida has only three scholarship quarterbacks. One of them, Cameron Newton, was suspended after being arrested this week for stealing a laptop. Apparently he stole a laptop, spray painted it black. The cops came and saw it, wanted to check the serial number of the one reported stolen, and when they went to get the serial number from wherever, Newton threw the laptop out the window.

John Brantley is the second stringer, he's going to get a lot of action, I guess

Oh my god Michigan's Defense is terrible. The OSU receiver was like forty yards down field, pryor under threw the pass, and the wideout ran about 10 to 15 yards towards the ball away from the end zone, and still michigans defense was out of whack enough not to get there before the ball. my god

Tebow up to 9/11 for 201 yards and 3 TDs. If you think that isn't noteworthy, well it's the first time since the LSU game that he's surpassed 200 yards pashing.

Urban's being a douche now. All the backup and seniors are in, it's 4th and 2 on the 22 yard line. Instead of kicking a field goal, they go for it. Moore rushes for a TD on that play, but c'mon Urban. It's 42-6, don't pull those shenanigans.

The Citadel actually threw a TD pass...on a double reverse wide receiver pass.

EDIT: To be fair, with under a minute left in the first half, they're rushing the ball from the fifty yard line. Rainey broke a 46 yard run down to the 9. Urban ran out the clock instead of kicking a field goal.
