100 years is inexcusable.

The freking ROYALS have won it all once since I became a Cubs fan 30 or so years ago.

How can we show our anger, frustration, hurt, tears to the team?

Im serios of putting up a demonstration outside the Cubs Convention.

Im serious about beating down anyone who either brings up the '100 year chokers,' or the blue kool-aid people who say "It was a magical season'

Ive had a terrible week.. Personal marital problems, car wreck, writen up at work, and now this.

Now what?

Please. We all sulk for a month, start watching the Hot Stove, and come February we'll reconvene and speak of hope and prepare to watch them do it all over again.

Now it is football season with basketball right around the corner. No thoughts of baseball here until March.

Football is nice, but in no way does it take my mind off baseball. I'll be counting the days until the winter meetings, then the days until pitchers and catchers report.

I'm not even sure it takes a month. I'm letting the frustration out tonight, and tomorrow life goes on.

To be honest, I am already recovering. Which is difficult to believe considering how livid/distraught I was Thursday night.

It was like a car accident: I saw the impact coming Thursday, and tonight I was braced for it.

The Royals are my second favorite team. God hates me.

Agreed. I'm actually almost over it, not quite yet. I think I realized in the second inning of game 2 that the Cubs were on a fast track to doom, and I guess I started going through the motions. Sports move so fast, I can't sulk that much. The only time I really sulked for a long time was after the Illinois '04-'05 season, and that was because a season like that may never happen again in my lifetime for any team.

Otherwise, there's always next year. It's gonna happen! Go Cubs Go!, etc. :oldbluekoolaid:

Bear Down! Chicago Bears.

Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da

Oh yeah, that's going to turn out so much better.

I had zero expectations for this team....if they manage to win the division, that would be awesome.

The Cubs have nothing to do with your personal failures. Quit making us look bad. That said, I need help to avoid caring about this team during the '09 season. This won't be a hateable bunch of cads like '04. And even they were hard to tune out, Mercker and all. Someone help.

Didn't say that they did. I'm just saying that when things seem to start looking up for me, fate, god, whatever always ake it crash back down. The other shoe drops, so to speak.

Quit making us look bad.

Huh?

Now this we can agree on.
