  1. Well, there goes Pavel Datsyuk's chance at his 5th Lady Byng trophy. Totally worth it though.
  2. Plenty of homerism on both sides of town. Still, should be a fun series to watch.
  3. Another powerplay!
  4. Kesler and Kane on the same line. Interesting.
  5. NBC has decided that watching grown men wearing sequins and prancing around an ice rink is more HD worthy than USA vs. Canada.
  6. Apparently, they're using those new eco-friendly Zambonis and they suck. They are shipping in new ones from Calgary.
  7. It would've been, hands down, the biggest fight between the two best fighters since the Leonard/Hearns/Hagler/Duran era. The winner goes down as a top 5-10 greatest pound-for-pound of all time. I don't see what's sad about that. You put this fight 30+ years ago and you've got literally half the country following it. I still think this fight happens somehow. Maybe I'm just stubborn. I agree. I really thought that when Pac accused Mayweather of ducking him, that Floyd would take the bait. Floyd has spent his entire welterweight career ducking the best available competition. The fact that he's making excuses to avoid Pacquiao and Mosley should be a surprise to no one.
  8. Well, that was a whole bunch of nothing. The fight is off. http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=4803490
  9. Mayweather has never faced a southpaw as fast and explosive as Pacquiao. Zab Judah gave him trouble in the early rounds. His shoulder roll defense won't work when he's taking punches from all angles. This fight will be easier than the Cotto fight.
  10. Need to start 2 RBs, and I'm going to assume Benson is out this week: Matt Forte vs. PHI Ladell Betts @ DAL Thomas Jones @ NE Ladanian Tomlinson @ DEN I'm leaning Jones and Betts.
  11. Forte vs. Cleveland or LT vs. Oakland I seriously think I'm going to start LT over Forte.
  12. Need to start 2 RBs: Grant vs. Det Benson vs. Hou Forte @ Atl T. Jones vs. Buf LT vs. Den So far I'm leaning Benson and Grant.
  13. Pierre Garcon @ Ten or Percy Harvin @ StL
  14. Chris Cooley @ Detroit or Antonio Gates vs. Miami
  15. I've tried, but it never takes.
  16. I blame Jim Hendry for the whole ordeal. Ricketts should see this as the final straw. Unless he manages to somehow trade Bradley for Adam Dunn, he should lose his job over this.
  17. My RBs are Forte, Ryan Grant, and Thomas Jones. Which one should I bench?
  18. Patrick Kane's two dimes
  19. I love Pat Hughes. "I'd like to remind everyone that the Phillies have left town."
  20. I wish it was Jonathan Broxton who beaned him. I would pay money to see that fight..
  21. I would agree, even though I'm not really be the biggest of Mayweather fans. I'd love to see Pacquiao end his unbeaten streak, but I think Mayweather is the one guy who might just beat him. It might also depend on how intense Mayweather's training actually is, since he's been sorta retired and hasn't really had anyone as impressive as Pacquiao to fight in quite some time. I'd like to see how he does against JMM after a 2 year layoff. Marquez is more than a tune up bout and if its a close victory for Mayweather I still see him ducking Pacquiao. Why come back if he's going to punk out and refuse to fight Pac-Man. Who else is there to fight that would bring him a payday like that fight would? The only possibility would be a rematch with DLH, and that's not going to happen for multiple reasons, perhaps the biggest being that nobody would pay for it. He ducked Cotto, Mosley, Valero, Marga-cheato...but yeah you're probably right. Pacquiao is the hot ticket now. I see the contract negotiations go on for a very long time.

  23. If I'm Floyd Mayweather Jr., I'd be asking for at least 50/50 split for a fight against Pacquiao because after watching this fight, I'd want no piece of him without a huge payday.
  24. i know. it shocks me how many sparring partners aren't as good as the boxers they're hired off the street to spar with. Yes, this is exactly how boxers train for a world championship fight.
  25. Um, ok. Pacquiao in a 8th round stoppage. Hatton couldn't even knock Malinaggi out. He'll get hit early, revert to his bull-rush brawling style and Pacquiao will out box him and pick him apart.
