Fans aren't in the mood? I'm in more of the mood than ever, because I want to forget about the last 3 games.

Of course, maybe some people just want to forget about it all together. But this was a great year, that ended in disappointment, and I'm proud of the team, not those imposters that showed up in October.

My favorite moment of 2008 is right now thinking that I will never see this in a box score for the Cubs again.

How can you guys possibly watch those right now? That's the last thing I want to do. It is depressing as hell to just think aout those now meaningless plays that we cared so much about.

Most people aren't there yet, moving on to next year and looking back at this year as a good thing. I'm not over it, not at all, but I am drinking the blue Kool-Aid. I guess you could say I'm in denial, and I'm just looking back as this year as a great, awesome, successful year, but I guess that's just me. Really, I just want to forget the last three games, and this is the best way, IMO.

Go Cubs, we'll be back at it in 09, I hope.

Tomorrow's a big day.

If the Red Sox win, the Angels will set the record for most wins by a team to get swept in a best of five playoff series in a DS breaking the record set by the 2008 Chicago Cubs. It would be nice to get that off the board right away.

Seriously, how can you even remember any great moments about 2008 without thinking, "oh yeah, but wasn't that the year the Cubs had the best record in the NL and choked it away in the playoffs." I was at the clinching game a couple of weeks ago, one of my greatest moments as a Cub fan to see in person, and now that great memory has been tarnished forever...

2008 ended just like any other year. That's all that anyone needs to remember.

Yep.

Now I'm glad I didn't buy any division champions stuff.

I wouldn't want to even look at it anymore.

The Cubs, unbelievably, don't hold this particular futility record.

The 2002 Arizona Diamondbacks went 98-64 and then took NLDS sweepage from the Cardinals.

The sad part is the Cardinals went 97-65, whereas the Dodgers were hovering around .500 all year long, so what does that make us. The Dodgers do have good pitching, I'll give them that, but I refuse to believe they are a better team than the Cubs. The Cubs basically beat themselves...

Just thinking about all those "great moments" of 2008 make me feel so used. They're totally meaningless now. I got suckered into thinking this team could go deep into the playoffs.

Stupid me.

No great moments

some fun moments, but we haven't had a great moment since 1908

Yeah we won a playoff series, I would give that a great moment. I really think '03 was supposed to be the year. We just blew it.
