So what, just let them be happy for their team that won the World Series 3 years ago. The stupid part of the argument is the assumption that anyone who lives in Chicago has to hate one or the other, which is just juvenile crap.

That's the problem. They aren't content just enjoying their championship. They are more proud of the fact that they have one and the Cubs don't. The Cardinals have 10 championships, but their fans are generally easier to deal with than White Sox fans. The Cardinals are happy for their team, not glad that it wasn't the Cubs.

I never had a problem with the Sox or most of their fans until they won it all. Now its just aggravating to even listen to them talk about baseball.

I have 2 uncles that are White Sox/Packer fans. It's like listening to a human ass, walking around on two legs.

trust me, if/when the Cubs win the WS, there will be Cub fans who will be far worse than any White Sox fans are

We respectfully disagree. We win.

White Sox fans are not real fans. They are just Cubs haters who need a team to root for. Until I started posting on the MLB forums and dealing with White Sox fans in person few years ago, I did not care for the White Sox. They don't support the Cubs, why should I support their team? No one has given me a rational reason. And being the bigger man or supporting your city do not count as rational reasons for supporting them

Yeah, there's no obsessing over the White Sox here.

They have a whole section devoted to Cubs Obsesssion (Whats the Score) with 15 threads on the front page of that section devoted to Cubs in some way.

It's a matter of degree. Thats all.

15? Must be that new math they're teaching in the schools these days.

That "what's the score" has 47 pages of gamethreads for the two dodgers/Cubs games.

And it's 12 cubs threads I see, if you want to be specific.

"Twelve is not fifteen, Eddie."

Look at this board, http://southsiders.net/

They love bashing the Cubs in the Around the Majors forum as well, and they even want a F--- the Cubs day:

Who cares? I don't know what you guys would do if you ever actually had to live around here.

I'd probably pulverize someone, or I'd be so pissed that I'd move somewhere else

When I first made the thread there were 15 threads. I have not gone back to the page since. Just a guess...but I bet it changes as the days go by. Tell you what. Count the Cubs threads over there going back 3 pages deep and report back.

Im not sure what your point is. Are you saying that they dont obsess over the Cubs over there?

I just had to lol at this post.

Of course you say that since you live in Chicago. Try living around the STL area for a year and you'll see that Cardinal fans are far more intolerable than Sox fans. They don't make it a point to hate the Cubs? Where the hell are you coming from? All the Card fans I know here celebrated like they won the World Series when we were swept last night.

It's all a matter of location, but I lived in the Chicagoland area for most of my life, including in 2005 and 2006. Cardinal fans are worse, believe it or not.
