Anyway, I'd like to see the Mets miss out again this year, not because of payback for 1969, but I just don't like them.

But my brain tells me the Brewers are better than the Mets, so go NY I guess.

Actually, I'd rather face the Mets in the first round of the playoffs.

Cubs v Mets

Phillies v. Dodgers

Who would you want to face in the second round? I personally want Philly because then I might be able to go to a game. :D

Either one.

A best 3 out of 5 is a terrible crapshoot.

I don't want to get my hopes up after what happened to the Cubs last year in the NLDS that we should have dominated. BUT, I truly believe this Cubs team with our normal lineup would absolutely embarrass the Mets in a NLDS matchup. The 2008 Cubs are that much better, and well rested, as opposed to our sprint to the finish line last year. I guess it really doesn't matter though, Mets, Dodgers, we should destroy either team.

Yeah, I want to knock them out too. Not just to avenge 1969, but also so I keep 100 bucks. I made 2 $50 bets with my Mets fan friend, 1 was who would have the better season b/t Johan and Zambrano, Johan has that one by a landslide, the other was who would have the better record, but we threw a couple strings in there, that if both make the playoffs, whoever advances further wins, and if both are out in the NLDS, then the better record wins, which is Cubs, so I'm hoping the Mets miss out

Love to see the Mets lose. To help them melt down for a 2nd straight year would be sweet! Go Cubbies!!!

I'd rather them win and push the Brewers out of the playoffs because I hate the Brewers and their fans.

Not sure if I would want to face the Mets in round 1 - for some odd reason the possibility of facing Santana in 2 games makes me nervous...

this one is for Ronnie and me and all that suffered in 69.

Personally I want it to go to a tie breaker and in the tie breaker go with CC and it goes extra innings

Ronny's probably loving every minute of it.

Are you serious? Ronny probably needed to change his pants after the Ramirez HR last night. He's got to be more than loving it.

I'm not sure if that's even possible the way this appears to be going down to the wire.

I want to put it to the Mets. Then I want to put it to the Brewers. And in my dreams they have to play a tiebreaker. Usually ends with CC on a stretcher but then I wake up. :-))

I'd much rather have the Mets in the playoffs than the Brewers. That team is a mess, and their presence in the post season would only be a benefit to whoever plays them.

Last night was the first time in my memory that I found myself actively rooting against the Cubs, and they couldn't give the game away.

Who knew rooting against the Cubs would be as frustrating as rooting for them?

I don't know if that'll be such a big problem because, he's all they've got, just look at what they trotted out against the Cubs 3 of the last 4 games.

Trying to decide between the Mets and Brewers feels a little morbid. Probably for the same reason I've never invested in a cow. Just not the kind of guy who can look at two poor pathetic animals and pick which one to slaughter.

Probably for the best to just let both teams grind themselves into the ground and see what happens. Mets, Dodgers, eh...I'm not afraid.

Sweet jeebus, I'm a Cubs fan and I just said I'm not afraid. What's wrong with me...
