  1. Aaron Miles = Cardinals' Trojan Horse.....sent to undermine the Cubs...
  2. No bad mouthing Miles..... Tony LaLoser stills cries for him each night (just a rumor)....
  3. Thanks Hall7810 for the explaination. I'm not watching the game so that sheds some light. For those on Aaron freakin' Miles, what did you expect? If it wasn't for Tony LaLoser and his obsession with little, scrappy, white middle-infielders/utility guys that remind him of Mike Galego (sp), Miles would be washing dishes at a truck stop about now.....
  4. I thought the umpire was in effect a part of the field of play. Why would you not "play" the ball after it hit the ump? Why does it become a dead ball? Is it scored a single for the batter?
  5. Fox is a stud.... HR and a double last night..... BA: .446, 8 2B, 1 3B, 12 HR, 31 RBI, OPS 1.579 Listed at MiLB as a LFer though..... C in college at Michigan....
  6. Vance_the_cubs__fan, Your idea is the same as mine as seen earlier. Our plan allows for a WC, doesn't lengthen an already long post-season and gives the best record team 4 of 5 games at home in the DS. Winners all the way around. Of course, MLB will never do this as it makes good sense.
  7. Pardon me, as I have not read all the posts in this thread so I hope I don't mimic another's idea....... My idea is that if MLB insists on a WC then the WC team should only have 1 home game in the DS and keep the 5 game series. Thus it would be a 2-1-2 format. Plus the team with the best record would play the WC team regardless of the WC coming from the same division. This system makes it more difficult for the WC team to advance, as it should be for any non-division winner, and rewards the best record team.
  8. West Side: Nice analogy. Spot on. Why would anyone allow their children to think about becoming a Cubs fan.... only to be let down year in and year out..... The constants of life: Death, Taxes and Wait till Next Year
  9. all conjecture but here is what I think may be happening: The NL has a "book" on Fukudome and he has failed to adjust to the pitchers approach to him. He could turn it around next year with work and study of how to adjust to the new approach to pitching him.
  10. JimE always tends to turn it on in the post-season either with the glove or bat or both....Maybe he'll do well in Hollywood and rescue the Cubs.....
  11. Thanks. The delay will let me see more of it. Go TIGERS!
  12. Are they going to play today on the South side?
  13. I was happy to see the Brewers get in as I think the Dodgers are a easier out than the Mets would have been but that's JMO.
  14. Love to see the Mets lose. To help them melt down for a 2nd straight year would be sweet! Go Cubbies!!!
