can clinch tomorrow...

If the Cubs win during the day, are we cheering for the Brewers to win at night?

I will be. I want the Cubs to clinch after a win. Otherwise it's so anti-climactic

That's what I'll be rooting for.

Amazing comeback boys, and I hope this jolt gets D Lee going again. He's been showing flashes it seems like so maybe this will get him all the way back.

Perhaps this is the homer in me, but is there a single player that has been more valuable to his team (not named Pujols) than Geo Soto?

The NL has a weak crop of MVP candidates this year (IMO), so I am a little surprised not a single Cub is in the discussion. I would declare Geo the Cubs' MVP if it were up to me.

By the wa didn't get to see Harden pitch or check gameday. How did he look? Velocity?

Velocity improved as the game went on... but his location was AWFUL! 6BBs in 5 IP

I will be, the sooner the better.

Shame they didn't win yesterday. Woulda been a great way to clinch today.

All I can is do laugh and point at my computer screen.

Laugh and point.

Then laugh some more.

Unbelievable.

A couple people popped their heads into my office to see what was going on when Gameday posted the update. :yahoo:

If the Brewers had won this game, it would've been an insult to all that is good and just in this world. Way too many stupid baserunning mistakes, dumb AB's, horrible pitch location, and bad fielding to deserve to win this game. I'll be shocked if the Cubs don't win the World Series...they're better than any other team I've seen this year.

(Of course, it doesn't help that Dale Sveum leaves Counsell and Kendall in to bat with the infield drawn in, knowing full well that neither of them can hit the ball in the air, but that's ranting that's better placed on a Brewers board)
