It took a max effort for the Crew to pull out a loss today, but they managed to do it. Nice job.

CRAWWWWWWWWWWWWWLING IN MY SKINNNNNNNNNNNNN

THESE WOUNDS THEY WILLLL NOT HEALLLLLLLLLLLL

*kills self*

Awful. Just awful. That's it. I'm done. I can't do this anymore.

just laughable. this team doesn't want to win. they've given up on this season, and so have i.

Can they just try to steal home next time we get someone on 3rd. It seems they would have the same chance to score on that than getting a base hit or sacrifice.

This team was sent to Earth to torment me endlessly for something I did in a previous life. I'm sure of it.

Why in the name of all that is holy, do we NEVER EVER EVER pinch hit for Counsell or Kendall? Is there a federal law?

2nd and 3rd no outs, and we can't score a bleepin run.

Why do I do this to myself. This team doesn't deserve to make the playoffs.

not only are they determined to lose, they are determined to lose in the most devastating and painful way imaginable

Honest to god, what is it about Counsell or Kendall such that they CANNOT be pinch hit for?

What has to happen. I'm dead serious - Bill Hall would have been a better option there.

Pardon me while go gargle boiling oil.

Is it too soon to fire Dale Sveum?

Sometimes I absolutely hate the fact that I love this sport and this team.

Man I hear you on that. I was asking myself that very question. How do you blow a 6-2 lead with you closer in the 9th. It's just so Brewers. Well I hope by some way we can sweep the Reds.

This sums it all up for me.

Well, other than the swearing, the throwing of items, and the lighting myself on fire part.

So, what's everyone's favorite hard liquor? I'm partial to Glenmorangie Scotch. I really need a hard one right about now.

I'm done watching the Brewers this year, at the very least. In fact I'm employing the "hide channel" feature through my U-Verse service in order to not accidentally catch one more moment of Brewer baseball. Anytime I hear the team being talked about on the radio, I'm going to change the station as soon as possible. I'm not going to read another sports page until after the season. If by some miraculous turn of events the Brewers make the playoffs, can Brewerfan.net provide me a service where my cell phone will automatically play take me out to the ballgame?

You don't get over a loss like this. This is one of the biggest disasters in baseball history.

Maybe I'll write a book.

You guys can thank me for the win. I fell asleep after the top of the sixth with the Cubs down 5-2. I didn't wake up until after the game when I got a couple text messages that woke me up. After I fell asleep, the Cubs outscored the Brewers 5-1.

***whole bunch of stuff taken from a Brewers board in their moment of grief***

You know what though? Much as I want to have fun with that, it sounds very, very familiar. Can you guess where you could find comments that are almost carbon copies of those?

I can't believe the Soto HR isn't on Gameday.

I'm pretty displeased.

Any teams message board after a devastating loss in a tight playoff race?

Yeah I was gonna say, I feel bad for their a lot of their fans because we've been there so many times. I can't stand a lot of the dbags on the Brewer's team, but I do feel for their more rational fans.

True. I was thinking the game threads on NSBB from this time in '04. But really, you're right.

Can somebody tell me what Harden's velocity was like today?

It was much better. Primarily low 90s but he dialed it up to 96 a few times.

Say what?

What people are telling me is that the Cubs came from 4 down in the 9th with two outs to tie the game only to win the game in the 12th with a Derrek Lee single. OMIGOD.

Wowsa...............

And nobody should doubt the "Power of the Soto."

Seriously. Take one for the team. They'll sell dvds of the whole thing.

And the Brewers fans head north on I94 happy, not with the outcome of the game, but with the knowledge that it's only two months until deer hunting season starts and that they will finally be able to use their new custom tailored bright orange hunting vests.
