For the Cubs, we have this guy (10-2, 2.02 ERA):

vs this fellow (9-10, 4.24 ERA):

The magic number is still at

But hopefully, after Thursday, it'll be 2. With Harden on the mound, that's a very likely scenario. But the Brewers look like they're back to their pesky selves, so we'll see.

So let's be the Phelps to the Brewer's Cavic

I never cared less about a loss than I did yesterday. I care today. The only thing that can come close to clinching at home vs. the rival Brewers is clinching at home vs. the bigger rival, Cardinals.

I wonder if Lou will keep Harden on a longer pitch count, considering that if we win, it will likely be his last appearence until October.

And I agree with rawaction about not really caring about the loss, but it was still frusterating not being able to get anything done vs. a bullpen we've been laughing at all season.

At any rate, I think that Dave Bush should be easy pickings if the offense comes out to play. Ramirez, Edmonds, Soriano, and DeRosa seem to really enjoy Bushes company, however, I wonder if Lou will start Hoffpauir at 1B considering his complete ownage of Lee. .182/.182/.227/.409 against him. Seriously, just give him the day off.

Last night's loss means I won't be glued to the computer this afternoon following pitch by pitch.

Cubs, my boss thanks you.

I'll still have the game on gameday audio, but not going to flip on mlb.tv unless things are close late.

sonovabich, I wasn't paying attention and set my DVR to record the game tonight. I guess that's a replay.

Did you already have the no-hitter recorded? Because frankly I'd prefer having that one on DVR than this one, provided Harden doesn't do something similar.

Didn't air in NY. I just DVR every game in case I'm not home when it starts.

Keep this division from getting interesting, win today and then win 2 of 3 this weekend.

I don't think its going to get interesting again this season regardless of how we play.

So win today, then win either Friday or Saturday (but not both) and hope the Brewers win both of their games... then clinch on Sunday so I can see it in person. That's my ideal scenario.
