Thats the third 2 run blown save by Kerry Wood against a Central opponent this year.

I think Cedeno blew that save

I don't remember Cedeno giving up 4 base runners.

I remember Ronny having the game right in front of him. A routine DP.

That's what I remember.

Guys we have our new Brant Brown, and his name is Ronny Cedeno.

not even close

You sure about that?

Both made errors in critical games late in the season to central division teams that lead to a loss?

You want to rethink it?

Or do you prefer that Cedeno "Alex Gonzalez'd" that play?

They deserve everything they get. The blew chance after chance on offense, continued to play pathetic defense and are showing exactly why they might blow it.

Now it's 19 straight against teams with winning records and the next 6 are in STL and Houston. Can you say 2-4 would be a hopeful 6 game stretch?

Can blame both Ronny (and Edmonds) for bad defense and Kerry for awful pitching. And an offense that only scored 3 in 9 innings.

I don't see why people have this innate desire to blame just one person.

Exactly. Cedeno's not the one that couldn't find the freakin plate.

This game was not at all close to being as critical to the game Brown blew. How about our inability to get another run home with guys in scoring position.

except in this situation, the cubs have like a 15 game lead.

Fortunately for me, my electricity has been out for much of the losing streak so I couldn't get upset about it. After having witnessed this loss (first game I've seen in quite some time), I'd like to voluntarily have my electricity turned off/go out/whatever.

Its Cedeno its the cool thing to do around here. Every team has to have a whipping boy for the fans, and its Cedeno for this board

All the hate on Cedeno and none on Kerry, typical around here.

You're right. Kerry should have forgone the GIDP and went with back to back K's.

It's just as much on Kerry as it is Cedeno. No excuse walking Valentin when you get ahead of him 1-2.

15? Try dividing that in half.

If Wood could throw the ball over the plate, Cedeno wouldn't have had a chance to make that error. There's no excuse for not throwing strikes.

meh.

whoever it was that hit the game-winner is getting one in the head the next time he faces kerry.

i dunno, a head is smaller than the strike zone and kerry couldn't hit that today

Ladies and Gentlemen the Cubs play nothing but good teams the rest of the way. Cardinals, Astros, Brewers, Mets.

The cardinals arent a good team.
