I think that's borderline. One I could see them ruling an error as was, but nothing egregious enough to overturn either way.

What does everyone think of the Astros series. The Astros are on fire, having just swept the Cardinals and put up a better August record than us I believe. I am not at all looking forward to this series.

The Phillies are in a heated playoff race, and playing the team with the best record in baseball at their home where they are almost unbeatable and they just got a key late inning strike out against a perrenial slugging All Star who represented the go ahead run. Give the showboating complaints a break.

 

there's a difference between celebrating a strikeout and beating your chest like on the mound. i had no problem with the fist-pumping episode, but a big problem with romero.

I can think of two situations off the top of my head when Lidge has blown it against the Cubs (Sosa's walkoff in the 10th a number of years ago and the Jeff Gordon Game in 2005).

This is really worrisome. A split sounded fine coming in, but not when you take the first two games.

Ramirez striking out trying to hit a 2 run homer with nobody on here is pretty predictable.

Jamie Moyer, Brett Myers and Doug Davis are not so good that we should be unable to score runs off of them. And certainly not enough that they should be able to get out of it whenever we threaten.
