I know in yesterdays game thread someone wrote that Lou said that he was going to skip Z, but I haven't read anything regarding this.

It would nice if we could get to one of their starters. Nothing wrong with a series split with a team the caliber of the Phillies, but I dont want a 3 game skid, and with Marquis vs. Oswalt tommorow, that would be the likely scenerio if we cant win this one. Plus, the Pirates have already made it perfectly clear that they have no intention beating the Brewers or nyone else this season.

 

As for Zambrano, I think he'll start, but be on a very short leash with Marshall ready to go at a moments notice.

Yeah, I wrote it from a report on the radio but I think that was wrong after watching Comcast Sportsnet. I think Lou was saying he will look to skip Z (and Harden) after the rosters expand. The radio host made it sound like the replacement would happen today...

I still think Ronny could be at least an average starting shortstop, given more playing time. However, as Theriot is an average starting shortstop, at least for this year, I am fine with not giving Ronny too much PT.

I'm all for trading Cedeno away this offseason. He's not getting a chance to start regularly with the Cubs any time in the near future.

 

I still think he has the goods to be an above average SS, but I don't see him becoming that with this team.
