This obsession that Lou has with Howry with very unhealthy.

Bob is worth at least 1 run allowed for every appearance, and that's on a good day!

I don't mind him pitching Howry, but not in a 2 run game with the wind blowing out. 4+ run leads, or 3+ run deficits without extreme wind variables are fine.

The series should still be ok. We have our two best pitchers going in the next two.

There's no reason we should lose even one game to these morons. 2 out of 3 in this series is not ok.

Some people's expectations are waaaaaaaaay too high for this team right now, to the point where they are completely incapable of enjoying anything but a 10-0 blowout.

Without a doubt.

We're up 5.5 games. Yes it is.

Lou brings in Howry into a game when we're 2 down, with the wind howling out - gives up 1 (albeit on grounders).

And then PHs Fukudome vs a LHP - grounds out weakly.

Way to use that melon, Mr Piniella! ](*,)

Even the Nationals, the worst team in baseball, are winning more than one of every 3 games. Even the Cubs, the best team in baseball, are losing more than one of every 3 games. Expectations right now are unfairly high.

Does anyone love how Fukudome sits against leftys but is hitting 19 points higher against them?

I hate the idea of putting an all RH lineup against any pitcher, even a LHP. It's stupid. It allows the pitcher to settle in and throw the ball in the same place all day. If he's a pitcher that doesn't come inside, he'll just have to aim at that outside corner to righties all day long.

Quick, name a better option vs. a lefty off the bench without burning the backup catcher.

Yes, how dare people expect to win a game against the worst team in baseball after leading 4-0. Ridiculous.

The 2001 Mariners blew a 12 run lead to a crappy Indians team.

How dare people expect Cub pitching to be perfect every time out, even against the worst team in baseball.

This is exactly true. I agree that this is frustrating because of where the Cubs were in this game and where they have gone, but winning this individual game is not crucial.

Jim Edmonds, Mike Fontenot, Carlos Zambrano, Kery Wood, Chad Gaudin, Rich harden, Ryan Dempster, Ted Lilly...

feel free to fly off the handle whenever you want. don't be surprised when people say you're being irrational or crazy, though.
