I hate this franchise. I really do.

Cubs could finish with the best record in the NL, and have a winning record against every NL team except the worst team in the NL

Awesome job you worthless piece of crap Howry.

fwiw, i can't lay much blame on him for a couple of infield grounders that were placed as well as possible

This is pathetic. Now we have to win 2 straight just to avoid a .500 homestand against the Red and Nationals.

Meh, we have been playing better on the road than at home for the better part of a month now.

Since July 24th

Home record: 10-7 (assuming a loss today)

Road record: 9-1

uh relax

I'm relaxed, just angry and frustrated. When you're 29 games over .500, you simply cannot and should not be letting the worst team in the game walk all over you, nor should the aforementioned "walking all over" be compounded by letting a guy with a career .341 SLG hit a grand slam.

This obsession that Lou has with Howry is very unhealthy.

Bob is worth at least 1 run allowed for every appearance, and that's on a good day!

I got to say, those ground ball and IF singles are annoying.

But then again, so are Jason Marquis and Bob Howry.

Some people's expectations are waaaaaaaaay too high for this team right now, to the point where they are completely incapable of enjoying anything but a 10-0 blowout.

it's the nature of a very luck-dependent game.

and for what it's worth, i'd be far more pissed about walking a bunch of crappy hitters than about actually giving up the home run after doing it.
