Ryan Dempster (9-3, 3.16 ERA) just got smoked by the Sox, plus last night's game pretty much sucked, so he's pretty pissed. When asked if he planned on doing anything differently this game, Dempster replied, "I think I'm going to take the mound with the same approach and be aggressive and just throw strikes, but my gameday ritual is probably going to have to change. I'm going to start eating babies if we don't start winning on the road soon."

Kevin Correia (1-5, 4.79 ERA) has spent six weeks on DL, and this is his fourth start back. Also, he wears a pink tutu when he pitches. "Yeah, the guys can be pretty mean about it," he says, "but since coming back [from the DL with a strained left side muscle], it has proven to be good luck. Plus, the draft is nice."

It goes down tonight. Please don't suck, Cobs.

We need to see Gemster tonight. If we can win this game, The Royals of all teams proved that Linecum is beatable, so we can still take this series 3-1.

The bats need to wake the hell up. And when is Hoffpauir eligible to come back? While he is identical to Ward as a lefty power bat with limited athletic ability, Id rather him than Cedeno or Patterson. Or Fontenot or Murton.
